Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Workshop Technician at our location in Singapore. Occasional trips offshore may be required. The Workshop Technician will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of ROV & Survey equipment, as well as the testing and calibration of equipment under supervision of the Technical Manager.

As a Marine Assurance Officer, you are an independent operational adviser, auditor and coach for the Company and vessels on matters related to marine assurance. You provide day-to-day Quality, Healthy and Safety, Security and Environmental (QHSSE) advice and active assistance within the business unit, department, vessel and or project. In this role, you ensure that all onshore and offshore activities are carried out with the highest regard to the health and safety of all personnel involved and the protection of the environment and the prevention of pollution.

Within the role you will advise Vessel Managers, Technical Superintendents and Masters’ on maritime regulations and the interpretation thereof to ensure Flag State and International Maritime compliance. You will advise Purchasers on equipment purchasing for ships to ensure they meet maritime regulations and standards.

You will implement vessel safety rules and practices to promote safety on our vessels, and leading by example towards compliance through a positive and safe attitude & through contributing to the HSSE awareness of all employees by coaching and advice. As a Vetting Officer you support the Vetting Manager in day to day operations and be responsible for the support of vetting process within Fleet Services and Fugro Business Lines Third Party (Chartered) vessels. The MES System Administrator is responsible for implementing site Manufacturing Execution System(s) (MES) and providing subsequent system support upon transitioning to operation phase. The incumbent shall be involved in the installation and operational qualification of the MES system with its associated peripheries and interfaces. The incumbent is also responsible for troubleshooting system issues and monitoring of interfaces between the MES system and the applications connected to it.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist in the implementation of site MES system(s) from Operational Technology (OT) perspective, supporting the Singapore IT Head & HQ Project Lead with activities inherent to the application’s configuration, setting up of shop-floor peripheries and documentation of all necessary SOPs.
• Contribute to the design, implementation and documentation of infrastructure technology while aligning with corporate standards and industry best practices.

About the role:

The Contract Specialist is responsible for the proper administration of main contract with Fugro’s Clients and subcontracts with main Fugro’s Subcontractors.

Specifically, the professional would:

• Oversee the administration and communication of all elements of contractual terms and conditions from bid through to contract close-out and final settlement.
• Examines and have clarity on project budget and delivery schedules and develops the ability to gauge clear variances to contract and proactively take the lead to take actions that would benefit / reduce project risks.
• Identifies the discrepancies between Contract and Client’s requests and prepares variation request accordingly.
• Pursue any project-claim related matter (inclusive of any litigation as required).
• Supports respective Commercial, Procurement department in preparing bids, specifications, and contractual flow-down for Subcontractors and Vendors.
• Working on BIMCO’s as part of short and/or long term vessel chartering
• Assess contract performance and post-mortems of completed contracts to identify the need for amendments of existing contracts.
• Leading contract negotiations with the support of the legal and commercial teams. Serve as the main liaison with outside contracting representatives.
• Ensure the timely issue of Insurance Certificate and Bank / Parent Company Guarantees as well as timely cancellation.
• Ensure minutes of meeting are recorded for any contractual discussions with external parties.
• Proactively engaging with the client in advance and ensuring the Authorization for Payment processes are well managed on both sides and timely cash collection is made possible.
