About The Role

The Centre for Applied Research​ (CFAR) undertakes, administers, and facilitates research and related activities. It also serves as an incubation centre for research programmes and projects.

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive individual to join our team to provide essential support to ensure the efficient operation of CFAR Department. Job Responsibilities:

• Assist Lead Consultant who is designated as SO Rep to manage the day to day operations of the Building Contract. These shall include carrying out the planning, coordination, reporting and implementation of the Project which include preparing, monitoring and carrying out of the Project according to the approved construction programme;

Requirements:

• Possess an Architectural, Civil / Structural / Electrical / Mechanical / Environmental Engineering, Building Science, Project Management, Construction Management or other construction and engineering related degree.
• The degree shall be recognised either by the respective Professional Bodies in Singapore (Board of Architects or Professional Engineering Board) or BCA;
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant post-graduate working experience in the building construction industry, preferably in HDB projects or 3 years of relevant post-graduate project management experience;

Job Description & Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Assisting the doctor in chaperoning patients.

Responsibilities:

To carry out thoroughly review and verify all project-related drawings (including working drawings, shop drawings, authority submission drawings, and as-built drawings) and specifications for all Works. Promptly identify and address any discrepancies or potential issues before the commencement and throughout the progression of works/activities on site.

To carry out construction supervision of construction works as required under the BCA regulations and ensure that the design documentation is safely and accurately implemented on site.

Responsible for the co-ordination of work on site and ensure construction safety.

Undertake any other duties related to the project assigned.

To ensure that all installation methods and material used are in accordance with the contract drawings and specifications.

To liaise with the contractors in the coordination of site works and resolving site installation problems.

Maintain a daily site records and submit weekly progress report with photographs to the Consultant/Project Lead.

To proactively highlight issue and any unusual site findings to the Consultant/Project Lead to ensure solutions or directions are given in a timely manner.

Able to work under pressure with ability to work independently

Requirements:

Minimum Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent from Singapore Polytechnic or other tertiary institutions of equivalent standing.

National Certificate on Construction Supervision from BCA or equivalent preferred.

Possess at least 5 years of site supervision experience, preferably in building works.

Familiar with local codes and regulations, as well as technical knowledge.

Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Project for project update and report.

Duties include (but not limited to):
