Job scope:

• To promptly follow up on requests from direct client / branch / agents
• To prepare physical file, put in all necessary documents then pass to traffic department
• To tally details on system and physical document
• To update our internal excel sheets accordingly

About the position

Aurora’s Research department is seeking an Associate to join our energy analytics and clientfacing services for the Asia energy sector, based in our Singapore office and supporting key ASEAN countries, Taiwan, and South Korea. You will contribute to the firm by developing analysis and conveying insights to enhance clients’ decision making. You will play an active role in all aspects of client engagement: helping identify issues, forming hypotheses, conducting analysis, and synthesising conclusions into recommendations.

Your role will be essential for fostering the development of your team members in Singapore and the wider APAC region, providing market-leading analysis to top clients, and contributing learnings to Aurora’s wider global Research team. You will be supported by market-leading modelling and software capabilities, and form a core part of a small, influential team of power market experts.

You will combine technical strength with a strong track record of leadership and performance in team-oriented environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead research reports, and consulting projects, from the idea to the presentation to clients and press, under the supervision of the senior leadership in the APAC team.
• Keep abreast of developments in policy, markets, and technology, and then use this to develop and provide data-driven insights to clients on how energy markets could develop.
• Represent the firm at external events as an expert in this rapidly evolving market, and develop our thought leadership, analysis, and subscription product offering.
• Play a critical role in product delivery and development, as well as client engagement - identifying client needs, and continuously enhancing the service we provide.
• Develop analysis into the energy transition for both public and private sector clients; and present these insights in client meetings and presentations.
• You will report to the Market Lead and work within Aurora’s larger Research and Publications team.

What we are looking for

Required attributes:

• We will consider candidates who have between 3 – 4 years of experience at a consultancy, energy company, financial services company, or other knowledge focused firm or institution.
• First-class or high second-class university degree
• Demonstrated success in taking responsibility for project and process management in team-oriented environments
• Proven ability to interpret and derive insight from complex quantitative data and information
• Ability to communicate clearly and co-operate effectively with both technically and non-technically minded people
• Self-starting, entrepreneurial mindset, and desire to grow the business
• A fast learner with Excel skills or competency or interest in common programming languages (e.g., python, SQL, MATLAB)
• Proficiency in English

Desirable attributes:

• Demonstrated success in client-facing positions

Our client is a prominent and reputable MNC in the manufacturing industry. There is now a need for the business to hire a proven leader as their Audit Director to be part of their APAC audit team and support their audit operations both locally and across the region.

Summary:

Reporting to the Global Audit Director in the US, you will be responsible for overseeing the internal audit function of the regional organization, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of financial and operational processes. This role involves leading a team of audit professionals, developing audit strategies, managing risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The Director of Audit works closely with senior management to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and provide insights to improve overall business performance.

Responsibilities:

Leadership & Management:

• Lead, mentor, and develop the internal audit team.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of internal audits across all business units.
• Ensure audits are completed in line with professional standards and best practices.
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations to senior management and the audit committe

Audit Strategy:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive audit plan based on risk assessments.
• Continuously assess audit strategies and methodologies for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure alignment of audit objectives with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.

Risk Management:

• Identify key risk areas and ensure they are appropriately assessed and monitored.
• Provide recommendations for risk mitigation and improvements in internal controls.

Compliance & Regulatory Oversight:

• Monitor compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Reporting:

• Present audit findings, risk assessments, and recommendations to the Board, senior leadership, and relevant stakeholders.
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports, including detailed action plans for remediation.
• Track the implementation of audit recommendations and improvements.

Continuous Improvement:

• Evaluate and enhance the internal audit process, including tools and techniques for more effective auditing.
• Keep up to date with trends and advancements in audit processes, technologies, and regulatory changes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• CPA, CIA, or other relevant certifications (preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in internal audit, external audit, or a related field.
• Proven experience in leading an audit function within a complex organization, ideally with Sales & Trading as well as Manufacturing Cycles
• Strong understanding of risk management, internal controls, and corporate governance principles.
• Experience with regulatory requirements and compliance standards (SOX, GAAP, etc.).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
