Job Description
The Deputy Manager, Private Banking – Client Onboarding and Business Control is responsible in handling all client onboarding matters, including performing account opening know-your-customer documentation reviews and periodic reviews for Private Banking and also business control related matters including MIS reporting, system enhancement, project coordination and procedures set up or revision.

• Work closely with Relationship Managers to facilitate the collection of KYC and relevant documents with respect to account opening, periodic review and other related procedures and local regulations
• Follow thoroughly the CDD and KYC review in client on-boarding and periodic review process
• Participates in discussions with business and risk partners on risk/process issues (e.g. Compliance, Internal/External Audit).
• Recommends and implements enhancements to improve effectiveness and efficiency of Controls Framework and related processes.

• Identify root causes and propose corrective actions to regularize process related exceptions.
• Prepare regular reports for management review

Job Description

• Support the CRO / Head of Operational Risk to develop, implement and maintain the framework (policies and procedures, templates) for Operational Risk Management (ORM) with underlying sub-risk types and monitor the adequacy of the framework. Examples of ORM sub-risk types include business resiliency, technology, third-party and outsourcing environmental, and new product.
• Act as subject matter expert and advice on the implementation of the ORM framework including risk assessments, due diligence assessments and policy dispensations.
• Initiate and oversee risk and control activities such as business process mapping, risk and control self-assessment ("RSA") and Business Continuity Management ("BCM")
• Conduct risk assessments of technologies or processes where required, e.g. Business Impact Analysis ("BIA"), third-party and outsourcing due diligence, new product etc.
• Facilitate the risk acceptance process that evaluates risk and compensating controls, identifies risk owners set conditions on risk acceptance and obtains approval.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in related domains.
• 7-10 years of experience in Ops Risk Management or audit and compliance in operational areas preferably within the financial industry.
