Duties and Responsibilities of Senior Quantity Surveyor :
· Report to the Commercial Manager and work together as a team.
· Monitor all financial aspects of the project to ensure the project is within the budget.
· Liaise, coordinate and have good rapport with the team members, consultants, client, contractors, suppliers and architects
· Prepare and analyze cost comparison
· Obtaining quotations, liaising and negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers
· Responsible for measuring quantities and taking off
· Prepare Variation Orders, claims, final accounts, settlement and sub-contractor payments
· Preparation of Monthly Progress claims, variation orders and payments to subcontractors
· Involve in managing and reporting of project budget & cost control
· Responsible for Post-Contracts administration for both the Main Contract and Subcontracts
· Monitor all financial aspects of the projects to ensure projects run according to budget
· Do certification of claims for payment
· Be familiar with various stages of projects so as to source for the most viable yet reasonable priced materials
Job Requirements:
· Degree in Building / Quantity Surveying / Civil Engineering
· Minimum 8 years experience as Snr QS in main-con companies doing MRT / infrastructure projects
· Ability in contract negotiation, contract administration & variation orders
· Able to work independently, be meticulous, good analytical skills with excellent problem-solving skills, proactive, a good team player & able to meet tight deadlines
· Must be able to commence work within 2 weeks after job offer
