Specifically, the proposed study explores citizenry usage of interventions such as National E-Payment, National Digital Identity and Gowhere.sg (which were deployed during the pandemic and beyond) and how they alter and shape citizen subjectivities, practices, and engagement with government, reconfigure social-technical formations of citizenship, as well as pushes the frontiers of an AI-driven Smart Nation. Second, this research will also examine and analyse what are the challenges of developing and deploying these digital applications by policymakers, and what are the contours and nuances of digital anxieties that elderlies face and in what ways they negotiate the digital everyday rhythms of Singapore.
