Main purpose of the job  

The primary role of a Global Category Manager - Sugar is to lead and implement procurement strategies, vision, and governance across the organization. This position heads the Procurement team, fostering unity across regions and promoting the sharing of best practices and knowledge. Alongside adhering to established governance, policies, and processes, the role involves protecting the company's assets and reputation through effective internal control systems, procedures, and legal compliance. The role is also responsible for driving sustainable procurement and procurement innovation strategies, as well as creating and implementing category strategies. Responsibilities include executing strategic sourcing plans to maximize business value, building and enhancing stakeholder relationships across all procurement activities, and managing supplier partnerships. The Global Category Manager also manages and tracks plans and budgets against objectives, key value drivers, and related KPIs. Risk management, with a focus on price volatility, supplier stability, and product or service availability, is a key part of the role. The ultimate goal of the role is to contribute to operational excellence in Procurement and drive continuous improvement of Procurement capabilities and practices in alignment with Asahi's overall strategy and external benchmarks.

Primary Function of Position

The Senior Analyst works closely with marketing and sales leadership to perform detailed analyses for the commercial organization and proactively provides strategic insights and guidance to senior executives. There is significant interaction with commercial executives as well as cross-functional work across commercial finance, training, marketing, and our Asia sales operations teams. This is a highly analytical role involving the manipulation of large data sets, requires a keen understanding of sales and marketing concepts, and the ability to communicate and develop meaningful work relationships with multiple executive business partners.

Essential Job Duties

• Serve as a business consultant for Asia Marketing and Sales leadership

The Chef de Partie is responsible for the supervision of the assigned kitchen’s operation to achieve and maintain the highest standards of food quality preparation and guest satisfaction. 

Primary Responsibilities

Food quality

• Responsible for monitoring food quality and consistency to ensure that the food presented to our guest is of the highest quality standards.
• Supervises and monitors kitchen operations, works with yield testing, product identification and that the proper rotation and labelling is followed accordingly to written guidelines for food produce specifications.
• Through daily spot checks, monitors all food items being ordered by the kitchen and ensures all items are utilised completely to avoid wastage.
• Works closely with receiving and storeroom and ensures that goods received are of the standard quality and meets hotel’s specifications.
• Constantly assesses freshness, presentation and temperature of food served.

Cost Control

• Ensures food portioning, serving, requisitions and receiving from stores are properly controlled in line with Standard Operating Procedures in order to minimise wastage.
• Updates menu recipe costing and menu planning as required, as well as for F&B promotions.

Hygiene And Sanitation

• To be responsible for personal hygiene and grooming in accordance to Raffles Hotel Singapore standards, National Environmental Agency standards and HACCP guidelines.
• Enforces the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation in kitchens. This includes working areas including, but not restricted to; refrigerators, freezers, ceiling, walls, floors, shelving working tables and working utensils such as carving boards, slicer, mixers, blenders, cutters, woks, pots, pans, etc.
• Ensures that all equipment is hygienically stored in its designated area.
• Ensures that all perishable items are stored quickly and efficiently, all items are utilised completely to avoid wastage. Ensure ingredients are always fresh and within its expiry date.
• Prevents using spoiled or contaminated products in any phase of food preparation. Colleagues who are ill or suffering from an infection should be not involved in the preparation or handling of food.

OVERVIEW

The Deputy Managing Editor, International will lead the digital editorial team in APAC, shaping news and features coverage, acting as deputy to the Managing Editor on decision-making for International Digital, and updating the global site with fresh content on a real-time basis. The role is based in Singapore, and reports to the Managing Editor, CNBC International Digital based in London.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Form a digital news and coverage strategy on a daily and longer-term basis for CNBC.com in APAC
• Support the Digital Managing Editor to execute upon their content strategy for CNBC.com International, driving our editorial agenda to the highest possible standard
• Strong partnership with the Digital Managing Editor, acting as a secondary decision-maker for CNBC International on an as-needed basis, reinforcing editorial guidance provided by the Managing Editor to stakeholders both inside and outside CNBC.com, and standing ready to make unplanned, global editorial decisions

The Project Engineer shall report to the Project Manager or the Head of Department for Project Management and Site Integration. The Project Engineer shall be responsible for the project assigned by carrying out the following:

• Coordinate with project team members in achieving the project targets (technically and commercially) set by the management.
