Job Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of an English Teacher shall include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Lesson Planning and Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to the curriculum.
• Differentiated Instruction: Adapt teaching methods to cater to the diverse learning needs and styles of students.
• Student Assessment: Evaluate and provide constructive feedback on students’ performance through assignments, assessments, and classroom participation.
• Student Development: Monitor and support students’ social and emotional growth through counselling and collaboration with parents.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., parents) to ensure both the pastoral and cognitive needs of students are met.
• Co-Curricular Responsibilities: Take charge of at least one co-curricular activity or committee, contributing to the holistic development of students.
• Participation in School Activities: Actively participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school-wide training or professional development events.
• Additional Duties: Perform any other duties as assigned by the school in alignment with institutional goals.

Job Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related discipline.
• A Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) or equivalent teaching qualification (e.g., TKT, CELTA, DELTA).
• A strong passion for teaching and mentoring students aged 7 to 18 years old.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• At least 3 years of experience teaching English in a classroom environment is preferred.

Additional Information

• This is a 2-year contract, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and school needs.
