Metta Welfare Association (Metta) was founded in 1992 by Venerable Chao Khun Fa Zhao BBM. He is also the President of Golden Pagoda Buddhist Temple and Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum.
Registered as a society in 1994, Metta is presently endorsed by the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF), Ministry of Health (MOH) and Ministry of Education (MOE). We are also members of the National Council of Social Service (NCSS), Singapore Hospice Council and Singapore Disability Sports Council.
As a recognition of our efforts in pursuing Business Excellence, we have been awarded the Singapore Quality Class (SQC) with People certification in October 2018.
Metta was also awarded the Charity Transparency Awards (CTA) in 2019. The Award recognises charities with good disclosure practices that the Charity Transparency Framework (CTF) recommends to encourage charities to be more transparent and to recognise them for their disclosure efforts.
As HR Executive , the candidate is responsible in the following areas:
1. Main Responsibilities
- Plan recruitment and explore the various platform for recruitment channels
- Updating of JDs and requirement for all employees with hiring managers on annual or when needs arising
- Overseeing the entire recruitment process which includes shortlisted of suitable candidates, arranging and conducting interviews with hiring managers. Conduct reference check upon shortlisted of candidates
- Preparation of Letter of Appointment, pre-employment check-ups, on boarding process which includes employee induction for newly joined on their 1st day of work
- Arrange for Quarterly Orientation for new joined
- Conducting Exit Interviews for resigned employees
- Compile HR Newsletter
- Verification of reimbursement claims
- Verifications and approved of Employees updated information in the HR module
- Upkeep of Personal File for staff
- To be involved in career and recruitment activities
- Liaison with respective Polytechnics, Universities and agencies for internship programs
- Compilation of HR Report (Monthly)
- Participated in yearly internal ISO Audit Exercise
- Involvement in IQC/ Mettogether/ Work Place Safety Team
2. Other Responsibilities
Ā· Organize Annual Staff & Family Outing
Ā· Involve in Organizing Committee for Annual Staff Dinner
Ā· Other HR Project if required
Ā· Assist in Fund Raising activities when required
Ā· Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Manager, HR or Assistant Director
1. Requirements
Experience
Ā· Minimum 2-3 years of relevant working experience
Qualifications
Ā· Minimum Diploma/ Degree in Human Resource/Business or equivalent.
Other Requirements
Ā· Able to converse both in English and respective mother tongue

Ā· Ability to work both independently and within a multi-disciplinary team.
Ā· Maintain high level of professionalism, consistency and discipline in completion of tasks and time management
