Chief Technology Officer (Singapore)

Our technology teams build and support our Private Market as a Service (PMaaS) offering, a modular, digital-first product platform that provides end-to-end services for private markets trading, dealing, exchange, issuance, custody and fund management.

PMaaS has been designed to be leveraged by a wide variety of private markets players globally, from small brokerages to global investment banks. It aims to provide extensive white-label functionalities, and to support any combination of third-party vendors, blockchains, and digital asset standards. As we enter the scaling phase of our technology journey, we are seeking an ambitious, broadly experienced and commercially-minded Chief Technology/Product Officer to lead our engineering, product, QA and data teams, while being a strong strategic partner to the rest of our senior management team.

• Leveraging an extensive background in technical solutioning to advise heads of department and tech leads on defensive, scalable best practices in terms of application architecture, cloud infrastructure and technology change management. We do not expect the successful candidate to be a hands-on code contributor, but they must be able to support their teams in detailed technical conversations.
• Continued refinement of our hiring practices and team culture across the technology side of the business.

Overview

A role is being created within our Singapore Investment Operations department. This is a position for someone who is wanting to build on their financial services career within a dynamic department that is investing in infrastructure in order to support our front office and wider business while operating at scale. This role is suited to those that have years of supervisory experience or may currently be an Operations manager at another asset manager / fund. Prior Fund Accounting experience at a Third Party Administrator would also be desireable.

This person will have the opportunity to work across the department over time and will be expected to assist where required during pressure points. The Operations department is a supportive, creative and collaborative team. Training will be provided alongside support for industry qualifications up to CFA level where appropriate.

Investment Operations Department Roles and Responsibilities

The Investment Operations team is currenlty made up of two sub units across London and Singapore. The successful candidate will initially be placed within Fund Operations:

• Fund Operations (currently London) aligns members of the team to certain investment teams or strategies. These individuals become SMEs in the remaining operational workings of the respective funds, after which cross-training occurs. Their roles include, but are not limited to, cash management, fee tracking, budgeting, return estimates, tax oversight, income distribution review, flow verification/instruction and NAV sign-off (Daily & Monthly funds)

• Trade Operations (London & Singapore) are responsible for trade processing, matching and settlement, security setup and corporate action management.
