Essential Functions

• Study Setup and Planning:
• Facilitate seamless study set-up including Protocol and Budget review, leading meetings. Develop and implement project plans, milestone, risk, issue and action logs. Partner with Study Setup team to ensure quality database set-up, oversee preparation of protocol specific documentation. Will prepare and present protocol-specific materials at Kick Off and Investigator meetings
• May participate in the proposal and business development process including bid defence meetings. Will lead in the development of Customer standards. Will lead Customer meetings / presentations in partnership with Senior Project Services / Operational / Business Development staff
• With experience may perform technical review at program / project initiation. Will manage more complex studies (e.g. Companion Diagnostic, multiple region studies)
• Study Activity Monitoring and Closeout:
• Will monitor the Project Management Plan, timelines and deliverables, manage study documentation throughout the Project lifecycle including filing into eTMF, oversee study monitoring and reporting, conduct meetings to meet needs of the Study and Customer requirements
• Will manage study scope changes and budget monitor quality of the study and any service-related issues, implementing changes as required. Lessons learnt will be reviewed and shared
• Proactive Lines of Communication:
• Build and own the Customer relationship, facilitate communication, collaborate with all operational areas within the company. Will serve as an escalation point for study level issues and will coordinate and triage study-specific issues. Coordinates customer survey follow up and ongoing health checks to support Customer relationship building
• Will lead activities that enhance Customer Delivery Team results and strengthen Customer Governance. Serve as an escalation point for program level issues
• Meetings, Initiatives and Training Activities:
• Will represent the company at Investigator meetings and other internal / external face to face meetings. Will participate in audits and inspections as required

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Life Sciences or related field or other equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
• 5+ years of clinical or research industry experience, including 3 years project management / project set up experience
• Excellent interpersonal and customer management skills.
• Thorough understanding of medical and clinical research terminology.
• Thorough knowledge of Project Management processes, the company laboratory processes, and/or equivalent working knowledge of central laboratory operations (kits/supplies, logistics, laboratory operations, specimen storage, data reporting and transfers, site alerts, etc.) required.

Primary Function:

To perform independent inspection, quantity surveying, sampling, and test analysis of oil products for Isotank loading or Shoretank.

To perform ad hoc onsite sampling (Shoretank/ lines etcs).

Ensure that all terminal/refinery regulations are followed at all times.

Principal Duties/ Responsibilities:

• To follow instruction provided by the Operations Executive (OE) with respect to the job. To review the job file prior to inspection ensuring all instructions are in order. Any doubts should be clarified and resolved with the respective OE before proceeding with the job.
• Check with terminals for truck arrival and loading schedule.
• To be present in the location on time before the truck loading. Prepare all necessary tools, instruments and documentation needed to perform inspection.
• Inspect Isotank for cleanliness prior Isotank loading.
• Initiate necessary action to prevent possible contamination during loading or unloading.
• To perform sampling after loading, quantity check and records.
• Record all timings and occurrences during loading.
• Update Operations Executives on the daily activities in the terminal including special circumstances and problems encountered during inspection.
• Highlight to terminal and vessel personnel on any possible discrepancies and contamination during loading. Suggest implementation of preventive measures.
• Create truck loading report legibly and check/organise them before handing over to Operations Executive.
• Ensure all work done is in accordance with Inspectorate Fair Trade Policy.
• Maintain equipment, apparatus. Ensure only calibrated equipment are used for inspection.
• To perform any other task as assigned by Senior Management.

A Research fellow position is available in Dr. Anand Andiappan Laboratory at the Singapore Immunology Network (SIgN). The successful candidate will support the research work that focuses on studying inflammaeing in the context of skin aging in Asian populations.

The candidate will work on primary cells from cohorts and cell culture systems towards understanding functional immune responses in skin immune interactions and recapitulating them in in-vitro and ex-vivo systems. Additional work involves cellular and stimulation assays with flow cytometry and FACS analysis along with imaging by microscopy, and associated data analysis with statistical tested.

Duties will include managing safety in the laboratory, creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and laboratory risk assessments, maintaining laboratory inventories, perform other laboratory administrative duties and operations such as ordering and tracking laboratory budget.

Job Requirements:

• PhD Degree in Skin Immunology, Life sciences, Biomedical sciences, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology or equivalent
• Preferably with experience in dermatology, immunology, molecular allergy and clinical immunology
• At least 2 years experience with human and mouse blood/tissue sample handling and in vitro cell culture and processing (e.g. isolation of specific immune cell populations, differentiation and activation assay)

We are seeking a talented researcher to lead the research on a 3 year funded research project as well as develop novel ideas in the broad scope of host-pathogen interactions and infectious diseases. Preliminary data gathered will help develop the researcher’s career and path to independence through the various early-career support available internally in A*STAR as well as in the Singapore ecosystem.

The funded project will aim to characterize and compare host-alphavirus interactions at the immune response level in vivo in animal models through a novel viral-centric approach. Preliminary data of the lab has shown a differential adaptive immune response polarization between two alphaviruses and identified, via in vivo comparative multiOmic approaches, a set of candidate host factors potentially responsible for the phenotype. The project will entail a close characterization of these host factors and their role in the viral life cycle as well as the modulation of the immune response of small animal model to these viruses. In addition to multi-Omics approaches (including single-cell and spatial), protein-protein interactions, microscopy, functional genomics, viral reverse genetics and CRISPR Cas9 gene editing will be some of the tools used to investigate this viral hijacking and understand the host-viral interplay. Animals models available in the lab include mice and zebrafish. Downstream of characterization will aim to validate these targets in small preclinical models for subsequent drug discovery in the A*STAR ecosystem.
