About the Role
The ideal incumbent shall be responsible for all legal affairs arising from Gotion Singapore’s growing operations in the region, providing direct support to business leaders, contributing to the expansion of legal and transactional support to Gotion Singapore’s energy storage and battery businesses in APAC region (exclude China market). This role will be involved in various contracts spans group’s subsidiaries, overseas joint ventures (JV) partners, operating partners in Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Turkey, Malaysia, etc.
Responsibilities
(The main job responsibilities should include, but not be limited to)
- Review, draft, negotiatecontractual arrangements and legal documents, develop and maintain standard contract (purchase agreements, MOUs, distribution agreements, NDAs, collaboration agreements, etc.)templates.
- Provide legal guidance, identify legal risks, and handle a wide range of corporate legal matters to support business to trade lawfully.
- Provide high-quality legal advice and support on JV incorporation, vendor screenings,due diligence, contract reviews, and internal policy formulation.
- As needed, work closely with business leaderson special projects and legal operations matters, together with resolution plans.
- Expected to deliver timely, sound and practical legal advice & support to business leaders.
- Monitor and manage intellectual property issues, including trademarks and patents.
Skills and Qualifications
- A Law degree from an accredited University.
- 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) preferably in a reputable law firm and/or in-house role in a listed company.
- Able to engage confidently and effectively with stakeholders across expertise and cultures.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound legal judgement.
- Preferably being bilingual to be able to liaise with legal team/counterparts based in China.
- Ability to prioritize tasks while complying with short turnaround cycles.
