3. Conduct internal STR investigation and provide analysis and recommendation to AMLO or designate. Prepare Suspicious Transaction Report for submission to local agency.

4. Execute post-STR actions on STR-filed parties to subject customers to enhanced due diligence and safeguard the interest of the Branch.

5. Maintain registers and ensure records of STR are kept in accordance with the Branch’s record retention requirement.

6. Prepare periodic and regular MIS reports for Senior Management and/or Head Office.

7. Provide proactive support to Business Units and departments in ensuring the Branch operates in accordance with the Group Policy and regulatory requirement.

8. Other ad-hoc duties and projects as required.

Job Requirements

1. A recognised Diploma or University Degree or relevant professional qualifications in financial services or audit.

2. At least 1 to 2 years of working experience in similar capacity.

3. Sound knowledge of applicable Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing Regulations (KYC, Transaction Surveillance and Sanctions).

4. Possess strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills.

5. Team player, proactive and able to work independently.

6. Good proficiency in Chinese as the incumbent is required to understand Chinese documents from Head Office.

My client is looking for a proactive and commercially focused In-house Legal Counsel to join their team. This is a newly created position and the ideal candidate should have strong expertise in commercial legal matters, retail leasing contracts, and service agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice on a variety of commercial matters, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, retail leasing agreements, and service contracts.
• Ensure that all commercial transactions comply with applicable laws and internal company policies.
• Support contract lifecycle management, including renewals and terminations, with a focus on mitigating risk and maximizing business value.
• Handle the legal aspects of retail leasing contracts, including negotiations with landlords and managing lease-related disputes.
• Review and negotiate service agreements, ensuring alignment with business needs and compliance with legal standards.
• Work closely with departments to provide legal advice when needed

Key Requirements:

• Qualified lawyer with 3-5 years PQE, with significant experience in commercial law, retail leasing, and service agreements.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience managing complex commercial transactions.
• Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks, and deliver pragmatic legal solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with a business-oriented approach to problem-solving.
