Department Description:

The Global Business Service Unit (GBSU) Risk & Production Management (RPM) is part of the first line of defense (LOD1) and accompanies SG Asia management in the development and transformation of its business whilst ensuring non-financial risks are appropriately identified and managed operationally, with a focus on:Transversal risks management (Resilience, Cyber, Oversight/Outsourcing) for the wholesale platform
Operational Security Management (OSM) functions for GBSU Asia
LOD1 project coordination (e.g. Permanent Control Transformation, Operational resilience) for the wholesale platform

In Asia, LOD1 risk management and control functions are provided by RPM as a service under the governance of, and with accountability from, Asia management.The RPM function is split across 5 teams:Governance, Risk and Controls team (GRC) => in-charge of operational and non-financial risks management for GBSU functions
Data and Cyber Security (DCS) => in-charge of data and cyber security risk management for the Asia platform
Third Party Management (TPM) => in-charge of monitoring risks from providers (intra group and external) and also oversight of the Operations processing chain for Asia originated activities.
Business Continuity Management (BCM) => in-charge of business continuity risk management for the Asia platform
Processes and Practices Steering Team (PPS) => in-charge of providing and maintaining IT solutions to support the business growth of GBIS.

Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, negotiate and arrange for signing of Non-Disclosure Agreement for all new partners and Letter of Confirmation or equivalent where required.
• Work closely with Claims & Risk team on Master Service Agreements and Third-Party Administration Service Agreements for Claims Management services
• Prepare Terms of Business Agreements with Reinsurers, Brokers, etc.
• Draft and review Addendum to agreements in accordance with the commercial terms agreed by the parties.
• Prepare forms required by Reinsurer for every new deal
• Coordinate with Reinsurer for legal due diligence confirmation
• Review signed agreements for circulation to the relevant stakeholders
• Administer and maintain records of legal documents
• Conduct ad-hoc simple legal research where required

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Law, Legal Studies or related field
• 1 to 2 years of relevant working experience in similar role, preferably in reinsurance or insurance sector
• Knowledge of contract administration

What the day will look like

The Job

As a member of the CapitaLand Development in-house legal team, you will be working on several complex transactions involving real estate acquisitions, development and divestments. This would involve structuring based on legal requirements and to achieve tax efficiency, M&A transactions, joint ventures, and general advisory work. Our in-house counsels provide legal expertise and a seamless integrated service across our offices in Singapore and other countries (e.g. China, US, Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Japan, Australia). Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include the following:

• Provide legal support and advice to the various departments and business units of the company, including country operations, finance, sales, human resources, and the project design, development and construction teams, on all real estate, development and construction-related legal matters
