Responsibilities

1. Coordinate with internal and external development teams, participate in system architecture design, implement business requirements, and verify the feasibility of development plans.

2. Participate in system capacity estimation and planning design, implement the required resources, and optimize system operation costs.

3. Be responsible for testing the codes delivered by the development teams, deploying and maintaining the system on the cloud, and ensuring high business stability.

4. Collaborate with product and development teams to troubleshoot, correct errors, and optimize systems in a timely manner, improving operational efficiency.

5. Ensure the stability and reliability of business systems, and provide service optimization suggestions and technical support.

6. Be responsible for the continuous iteration and optimization of operation work towards automation and standardization, constantly improving the overall quality of online services.

Requirements

1. Proficient in scripting languages such as Shell/Python/Go with more than five years of relevant development experience; familiar with containerized development, and priority will be given to Kubernetes community contributors.

2. Familiar with Linux kernel, with practical experience in kernel networking, storage, file systems, memory, scheduler, and cgroup.

3. Able to proficiently troubleshoot system layer and network layer performance issues and failures.

4. Possess senior Kubernetes operation experience, familiar with helm, and have in-depth business high availability and disaster recovery architecture optimization practice experience.

5. Have operation experience with open-source software such as Etcd, Zookeeper, HDFS, Kafka, ELK, Nginx, Pulsar, MySQL, Redis, LVS, and Keepalived.

6. Possess strong learning ability, crisis and risk awareness, strong owner mindset, and able to withstand significant work pressure.

7. Candidates with experience in internal system development/operation and maintenance at large-scale internet companies are preferred, as well as those familiar with Tencent Cloud architecture and services.

8. Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin), in order to communicate with various stakeholders in headquarters

As a Service Support Engineer, you will be maintaining and troubleshooting the hardware infrastructure and systems.

Responsibilities:

· Provide Field Support by carrying out Corrective Maintenance (CM) as a result of failure of the hardware and software.

· Assist to restore the system to its operational condition.

· Support in monitoring and maintain the records of the overall system operational availability and reliability, including Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), system downtime duration and the types of hardware defects as well as all related software versions, patches.

· Support in field testing by carry out software testing on the system whenever there is a new software bug fixes and ensure the correct configuration of the system is loaded for software / system testing and before the system is used for production.

· Provide technical support in managing the spares provisioning, support and test equipment and other tools.

· Assist in undertaking store keeping functions in respect of receipt, issue and disposal.

· Support in carrying out serviceability check on the spares and to ensure prompt and appropriate action is taken to rectify any fault on the spares.

· Assist in monitoring the end-of-life and end-of-support status of the spares and installed hardware.

· Support in carrying out preventive maintenance on the hardware to retain the system in the specified operational condition in accordance to the planned maintenance schedule.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

· Assist Project manager in all on-site technical/engineering matters.

· To plan, lead and execute projects safely, effectively and timing in construction industry.

· Prepare and submission of shop drawings, materials, MOS and progress reports that client requires of the project.
