Job Description

The incumbent will play a key role in working closely with the School’s stakeholders involved in undergraduate medical education, particularly senior leadership and key administrative partners of healthcare institutions, to ensure that funding for training medical students are accurately disbursed, payment disputes are resolved satisfactorily, and compile data for reporting purposes. RESPONSIBILITIES

The Asset Management team is responsible for BW Group vessels management activities such as investment/divestment of vessels, identify business opportunities, generate returns through asset play, long term projects and/or forward paper markets as well as supporting other business units in their sales and purchase activities.

A successful candidate would ideally be able to work under time pressure, attention to detail for reviewing and negotiating contracts and good business acumen.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyse market trends to identify investment / divestment opportunities
• Support the evaluation of investment/divestment decisions through quantitative and qualitative analysis as part of the proposal process
• In collaboration with the Strategy & Corporate Development, support the analysis and identification of new opportunities within the shipping sector
• Support the compilation of Board papers and/or proposals for Board recommendations
• Participate in the negotiations for ship Sale & Purchase and Newbuilding contracts
• Liaise, network and build relationships with business counterparties, charterers and shipbrokers to gather relevant market intelligence and generate deal flow
• Administration of existing contracts/agreements
• Maintain and update databases (S&P and MDM)
• Assist and responsible for sending out routine reports
• Monitor and update FFA positions as and when required.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects as required
• Actively participate in the development of the quality management system and engage in the workflow process for the continuous improvement of departmental procedures
• Process timely and accurate invoices through IMOS for BW Dry Cargo
• Liaise with external parties on operational and technical matters on BW Dry Cargo fleet
• Actively participate and engage in the process for the continuous improvement of BW Asset Management procedures and processes, including keeping alignment between practice and documentation in QMS

• Bachelor (BA, Finance, Economics, Legal or Shipping/Maritime)
• Preferably 1-3 years maritime experience
• Entry level candidates with relevant internship/training experience may be considered
• Quantitative skills, financial modelling
• Review and negotiate contracts/agreements
• Ability to synthesize and present information to support decision making
• Ability to work in a precise and accurate manner while under time pressure
• Good collaboration and team player
• Well versed with Microsoft Office products (i.e Excel and PowerPoint)

DETAILS

• Activities: this professional is responsible to work in the team to implement the activities of Market expansion and growth within existing or new customers, guaranteeing that those actions are implemented in the correct deadline, scope / quality and cost, understanding obstacles and suggesting opportunities to overcome them. Reporting of activities in project or knowledgement systems are also key part of all activities performed.
• Knowledge: Deep understanding on the customers and main players in the specific region (regional professionals) or technological segment (global professionals), in order to understand the business logic and what are the main triggers that have to be addressed to implement or expand the Niobium solution.
• Technical Communication: participate in meetings, conferences or technical presentations to customers or other players in the value chain, fulfilling widespread needs of information on niobium.

Finance Manager

· Direct and oversee the accounting, finance and admin functions of the organization.

· To work closely with the Business Development, Sales and Operations team to drive the planning and budgeting process for products and sales channels.

· To evaluate the impact of current and potential businesses and to ensure controls and risk management processes are managed effectively across the businesses.

· Provide business intelligence to the Business Development and Sales team in the form of data analysis, account/distributor/customer performance, market trends and competitor activities.

· Advise on funding requirements and structure to drive and support business expansion and acquisitions.

· To prepare relevant analysis to support Management decision making, driving transparency and insight into the business and action required to improve.

· Ensure timely completion of accounting processes and generation of financial and management reports.

· Monitor and ensure healthy and adequate cash-flow and funding to support on-going operations.

· Review and improve accounting and finance processes for better workflow, efficiency and controls.

· Ensure compliance with relevant accounting and reporting standards.

· Handle tax matters to optimize tax liabilities.

· Deal with external auditors and regulatory bodies on accounting and tax matters.

· Any other appropriate duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Human Resources

· Prepare job specifications, review and shortlist job applicants for line and functional heads to interview, follow-up with successful job candidates on job offer and prepare employment contracts.

· Process payroll for 30 staffs

· Plan, organize and implement human resource initiatives to support business growth and operations.

· Work closely with line and function heads to support them in manpower planning (including annual manpower budgeting), acquisition, deployment and monitoring of manpower level.

· Work closely with line and functional heads to help motivate, develop and retain employees.

· Prepare inputs and coordinate increment and bonus determination, compute increment and bonus payment and prepare letters to inform the employees.

· Prepare job specifications, review and shortlist job applicants for line and functional heads to interview, follow-up with successful job candidates on job offer and prepare employment contracts.

· Work closely with line and functional heads to plan, initiate and organize training programmes and development activities to make the employees more effective and competent.

· Ensure proper upkeep of staff information such as manpower records and salary information.

· Review, design and administer employee benefits programmes, including insurance claims.
