About The Role

Purpose of the Electrical Maintenance Technician is to provide technical support and coordinate maintenance work related to electrical discipline. The role assures that activities on the weekly schedule, emergencies or assigned non routine maintenance work are executed with quality and efficiency and in compliance to the site Health, Safety and Environment requirements.

Accountabilities

1. Provides day-to-day hands-on maintenance/troubleshooting to Electrical related matters in PU Support Electrical Engineer to carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance works and ensuring optimum usage of contractor manpower.

2. Timely execution routine maintenance on all electrical works including STG, UPS, EDG, Power distribution system, VSD, HV and LV motors/cables, PLC, Earthing, Ex-equipment to ensure high plant availability and equipment integrity.

3. Timely execution of preventive maintenance as per schedule - plan, execute and close work order as per ME requirement

4. Prepares job specifications and costing for works involved & issuance of contracts to Contractors.

5. Liaises with/consults Operations, Technology, other Engineering and Procurement departments on scheduled jobs with minimal disruptions to the operations of the process plants.

6. Provides good documentation to ensure all equipment, technical records and drawings are updated to reflect the latest changes, proper and correct procedures are followed, configuration and software changes to electrical equipment are documented, archived and backed up for disaster recovery.

7. Work safely with all staff and contractors to comply with HSE standards; and participate in audits in compliance with ISO standards.

8. Participates/conducts audits related to quality, health, safety and environment.

9. Seeks improvement in techniques, procedures and technology to improve reliability at minimum costs and within budget.

10. Maintains work requests and records on maintenance works using computerized maintenance management systems : GSAP

What We Need From You

1. Relevant Diploma / ITE

2. 2-5 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas industry maintenance field

3. Skilled in executing maintenance work and managing the contractors on site.

4. Skilled on the Job Hazard Analysis, Confine Space Entry, Permit to Work system and Clearance application requirement.

• Carry out daily inspections and tests of mechanical and electrical equipments/ Plant/ BAS ACMV System

• Co-ordination with contractors for renovation and new installation works, scope of works and quotation
• Check completed work to ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards
• Compile and vet M&E drawings for renovations to ensure it complies to all M&E regulations

Senior Maintenance Manager

Working Hours: 5days (Mon-Fri), 8 am to 4.30 pm.

Work location: Jurong Island (Transport provided at Jurong East)

Salary: $8,000 to $9,500

Responsibilities：

• Management of annual/specific Project and Maintenance activities/budgets (both Mechanical and E&I) throughout fiscal year to achieve department goals.
• Ensuring that the relevant maintenance strategies as well as industry best practices are applied to the activities for maintenance and modifications in the plant to achieve reliability and availability of plant equipment of the highest level.
• Ensures all plant and equipment is maintained to the highest level of safety for work to avoid lost time accidents, with immediate response and thorough investigations and corrective actions for all hazardous occurrences and accidents.
• Ensure all Mechanical and E&I maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with the Company’s HSEQ Standards, statutory requirements, Company Maintenance & Management System, and best industry maintenance practices.
• Ensuring that there are adequate procedures and systems put in place for maintenance activities conducted within the process plant.
• Oversee all facilities planning and operations/functions including the maintenance, modification control of equipment, space allocation, move and construction.
• Works with counterparts in parent and subsidiary companies on technology transfers to raise maintenance performance standards.
• Line management responsibility for Maintenance team members.
• Approval of all work requests for equipment maintenance and modifications related to improvements and safety of process and plant.
• Approval of requisition for new equipment and maintenance spares.
• Approval of Contractors’ daily timesheets.
• Approval of the daily maintenance activities and modifications in the plant.
• Approval of grade change maintenance activities, in consultation with production department
• Planning and managing the shutdown maintenance.
• Provide training needs of Maintenance team members to ensure that they have the necessary skills and competencies to carry out their work in an efficient manner.
• Assessment and review of in-house contractors’ performance and the contract.
• Undertakes special assignments or projects as directed by the Manufacturing Director

Requirements:

• Degree in related discipline.
• Experiences in the chemical industry Singapore as Manager or Assistant manager.
• Experiences and knowledge about maintenance of mechanical rotating equipment and static facilities.
• Experiences as E&I Process/Maintenance Engineer at chemical plant or manufacturing facility.
• Knowledge about and to be familiar with high voltage power supply/MCC, control panel and/or DCS design and system to manage establishment will be an advantage.
