Job Description: Site Supervisor in a Construction Company

Reports To: Project Manager / Construction Manager

Job Overview:

As a Site Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day operations on the construction site, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will coordinate with various teams, manage resources, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Site Management:Supervise daily operations on the construction site, ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
   Coordinate and schedule the activities of subcontractors, suppliers, and workers to ensure timely completion of tasks.
   Monitor and control the use of materials, tools, and equipment.
   
2. Quality Control:Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets the required quality standards and complies with building codes and regulations.
   Address and rectify any issues related to quality or compliance promptly.
   
3. Safety Management:Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all site personnel.
   Conduct safety meetings and training sessions, ensuring all workers are aware of and adhere to safety practices.
   Investigate and report on any accidents or incidents, recommending corrective actions as needed.
   
4. Project Coordination:Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
   Update project managers on progress, potential delays, and any issues affecting the project.
   Assist in preparing and maintaining project documentation, including reports and records.
   
5. Resource Management:Manage and oversee the allocation and utilization of labor, materials, and equipment.
   Ensure that all resources are used efficiently and effectively to minimize waste and optimize performance.
   
6. Communication:Serve as the primary point of contact between the construction site and the project management team.
   Facilitate clear and effective communication among site workers, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
   

Requirements:

1. Education:High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or diploma in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
   
2. Experience:Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or similar role in the construction industry.
   In-depth knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, and building codes.
   
3. Skills:Strong leadership and team management skills.
   Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
   Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical drawings.
   Proficient in using construction-related software and tools.
   Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
   
4. Certifications:Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, First Aid, etc.) may be required or preferred.
   
5. Physical Requirements:Ability to work in various weather conditions and on uneven terrain.
   Capable of lifting and carrying materials as needed.
   

Working Conditions:

• Work will primarily be on-site at construction locations.
• May require extended hours and occasional weekend work to meet project deadlines.

- You shall report to the Company's General Manager and Director / Executive Management. You shall undertake the duties and responsibilities of your position or such other duties and responsibilities as and when directed by the Company.

- In the discharge of your duties and responsibilities, you shall observe and comply with all regulations and directions from time to time made by the Company or given to you and shall endeavor to further the business and interests of the Company.

- You shall be involved in the day-to-day restaurant operations.

- You shall oversee and manage the day-to-day operation.

- Work with FOH Manager and other personnel to ensure efficiency of provisional and purchasing of supplies.

- Optimize wine and spirits sales and inventory.

- Comply with all health and safety regulations to ensure practices are in accordance to food safety standards.

- Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness & hygiene standards and maintenance of and dining areas.

- Training and supervising of employees.

- Maintain a high level of customer service standards.

- Welcome customers and assist them whenever necessary.

- Assist in accounting, including the daily consolidation of sales, sales cash management, petty cash management, filing invoices, counting, and registration of monthly bar inventory and wine inventory.

- Perform any duties in the capacity as needed.

- Handling customer complaints.

- Ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene, health, and safety guidelines.

- Anticipate and meet the needs and unexpected wishes of every guest.

• • Over-all site management, which includes planning and implementation of assigned projects
  • Planning and monitoring of progress and timely completion of projects which includes preparation of detailed progress and status reports
  • Coordination with clients & consultants to ensure smooth communication
  • Directly reports to the Project Engineer / Senior Manager / Project Director
  • Preparation of samples according to the requirements of the project
  • Ensuring smooth procurement process and timely deliveries, which includes preparation of status reports
  • Coordination of deliveries on site
  • Issuance delivery orders
  • Attending site meetings for smooth coordination.
• Respond to employee concerns promptly and work with Management to resolve.
• Monitor and initiate training activities in their department and all related documentation.
• Ensure all works are perform in safe manner and environment.
• Achieve tasks as assigned by Management.
• To resolve construction discrepancies.
• Plan workers rest days and leave to suit construction schedule.
• Change work assignments and schedules to maintain and improve efficiency as and when necessary.
