Job Description:
• Coordinating agency appointments, reviewing the PDAs and FDAs.
• Communicating with charterers, brokers, agents and vessels regarding voyage orders, vessel itineraries etc.
• To plan / prepare / circulate loading & discharging operations and coordinating with various parties like stevedores / terminals / agents for efficient turn around in ports.
• Monitoring vessel movements and performances.
• Reviewing / preparing cargo stowage plans to optimize cargo liftings for bulk/breakbulk or project cargo.
• Monitoring hold cleaning plans; including supply of chemicals and supervisors.
• Ensuring that all cost data is logged and maintained; PnLs for the voyages are kept updated in the shipping system Softmar.
• Planning bunker supplies and co-ordination with bunker suppliers.
• Liaising with the P&I clubs, legal teams to resolve disputes.
• Updating various vessel questionnaires and certificates’ databases.
• Coordinating extra insurance covers (i.e.: war risk, LoH, K&R etc) with owners when necessary.
• Planning and co-ordinating the embarkation/disembarkation of armed guards on voyages through currently designated high-risk areas.
• To attend vessel and supervise the cargo operation whenever critical shipments going to be loaded to vessel. To source and purchase materials required for cargo operation.
• Perform cost control procedures for the voyage expenses and verify bills received from agent and vendors.
• Supporting chartering team for max cargo uplift, stowage plan, port information inquiries for prospective vessel’s employment.
• Verifying the Laytime Calculations for accuracy.
• Providing input for procedure / process improvement.
• Supervision of bulk / break bulk operations & Post Fixture Team
Requirements:
• Minimum 4 years of experience in operations
• Master Mariner with shore job experience in operations for Dry Bulk carriers or sailing experience in similar shipping trade is preferred
