Duties & Responsibilities
1. Assist the Director in all matters relating to the project department
2. Accountable for successfully leading projects in collaborating with all disciplines within the business.
3. Lead the project department through all stages: design, tender, construction, completion, including post-award management of Contractors.
4. Perform or vet submission by quantity surveyor on taking off and cost estimate of tender for new projects.
5. Perform or vet submission by quantity surveyor on tender documents, which include drafting contract/specification clauses, evaluating and providing recommendations for tenders, and awarding construction and procurement contracts.
6. Perform or vet submissions by quantity surveyor, external consultants on contract administration matters, such as assessing contractors' claims for progress claim, variation works, extension of time, cash flow report, final account and handling of contractual disputes.
7. Verify all contractual correspondences related to the project
8. Any other duties assigned by the Director, Operations Department.
Requirements:
a) Motivated individual with sound knowledge in construction contract law & standard building contract forms
b) Good knowledge of the construction industry with past experience in main contractor firms
c) Possess strong personal & negotiation skills and leadership qualities
d) Ability to demonstrate a strong affinity for innovation will be an added advantage.
e) Possess good analytical skills, & able to work in a dynamic & fast pace environment to meet critical deadline
f) Degree in Building, Quantity Surveying or equivalent
