Plan- Buyer/ Supply Chain Specialist

Location: Jurong East

Our Plan- Buyer has the responsibility for maintaining continuous communications with external suppliers to obtain status updates on open orders and ensure the accuracy of information contained in system. You will prepare requests for quote packages, ensuring all quality and engineering questions are resolved prior to releasing for quote. • Set up parts by BOM & Routing on JDE.

  Prepare and issuing of Work Order (BOM & Routing) according to sales order and product / components part number.
• Prepare quote reqests, OQ’s, to buy components, raw materials or external services (machining, threading and other).
• To perform Purchasing duties related to the purchasing of services, consumables, materials, and equipment in accordance with established policies and regulations.
• Initiate bid/quote process for services, supplies, materials and equipment’s from approved vendors in consultation with Production Planner to achieve on time delivery at the lowest cost.
• Determines and develops appropriate sources of supply, products and services.
  Process vendor approval request and update approved vendor list.
• Prepares and processes purchasing documents using JD Edward Procurement software module.
• Act in accordance with the Roles and Responsibilities as designated in IMS Manufacturing Work Instructions.
• General office administrative duties as required for the business.
• Perform various other duties assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

Qualification:
