About the role

Reporting to the Production Manager, this full-time Production Supervisor role is responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operations of the production floor at our FMCG/Beverage Manufacturing facility located in the Tuas View West Region. • Assemble complex wire harnesses, cables, and power/flat cable assemblies.
• Modify and rework components based on instructions or drawings.
• Use hand tools and machines like screwdrivers, soldering irons, and crimpers.
• Clean parts before production use and identify wires by color codes.
• Assist with first-time production runs and inventory handling.
• Support continuous improvement and team-building efforts.
• Maintain knowledge of industry techniques, machines, and safety regulations.
• Meet daily production and quality goals.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

• Check progress of work on board or in the workshop.

• Monitor and review safety and hazard reports.
• Implement safety plans for the department.
• Conduct safety audits for departmental practices and staff.
• Keep track of subcontractor working hours.

Requirements

• The ideal candidates should possess strong knowledge and experience in areas such as propulsion, shaft alignment, thrusters, and CPP. A degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering is required, along with 4 to 8 years of experience in the shipyard or marine industry.
