Job Responsibilities
Technical support
· Provide second-level technical support for local and overseas customers, and branch offices
· Take over and solve product related application issues in context of second-level support
· Interface between customers, sales and development departments
· Install products at the customer’s premises and support during set-up
· Support sales and customers in developing solution application, problems and root causes of issues on product level
Testing and analysing
· Plan, develop and evaluate applications for test purposes
· Carry out tests of competitors’ and ifm devices
· Carry out application relevant feasibility studies and lab tests
Documentation
· Support the creation and maintenance of documentation for ifm products
· Document tests setup and test results
Training / trade fairs
· Plan and organise national and international training, workshops and user training sessions
· Support and advice to customers at trade fairs
Cooperation in teams, projects and departments
· Collaborate and support in project teams including System Engineer and System Test Engineer
· Support and coordinate application related customer requirements
· Interface to Technical Manager and Product Manager
· Cooperate with international interdepartmental development projects (interfaces) closely
· Provide technical guidance to project team on application related topics
Raise awareness from customer’s perspective project team
Job Requirements
· Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent
· Minimum 3 years relevant experience
· Profound knowledge in the area of sensor technology and application
· Willingness to travel
· Strong communication skill and ability to solve conflicts in confident manner
· Open-minded, team player, creative, self-driven and willing to acquire new skills and grow in the position
