Our client is from Oil and Gas industry. They are looking for a Lead / Principal Engineer (Mechanical) Oil & Gas for the next phase of their business. They are located in West.

Duties:

• Lead Mechanical and HVAC disciplines for CAPEX projects, overseeing FEED consultants, EPC contractors, and vendors.
• Develop and issue design bases, datasheets, project specifications, and scopes of work for feasibility studies, FEED, and EPC projects.
• Review and evaluate proposals from consultants, contractors, and vendors.
• Validate and approve Mechanical and HVAC deliverables in CAPEX projects.
• Support regulatory approval processes and coordinate with consultants and contractors.
• Collaborate with project management, engineering disciplines, and operations teams.
• Witness factory acceptance tests (FAT) and ensure accurate engineering databases.

Requirements

• Min Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or any relevant field.
• Min 12 - 20 years’ experience in Oil & Gas industry, with exposure in LNG industry.

Responsibilities

• Support and provide mechanical engineering design

Requirements

• Proven track record of working across organization boundaries to define requirements, solve complex problems and drive programs to successful completion
• Good understanding of Singapore Code of Practice and local authority submission process (LTA / PUB / BCA)
• BIM and CAD capabilities (REVIT / Microstation / Autocad) will be added advantage

Job scope

• Develop mechanical design concepts and create 3D/2D CAD models
• Perform design validation through simulations and testing
• Select materials and optimize designs for cost and manufacturability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for integrated solutions
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and quality control
• Support manufacturing during design-to-production transition
• Maintain design documentation and implement continuous improvements
• Communicate with clients to refine requirements and provide technical support

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering with 2-3 years of relevant experience
• Experience in designing and developing customized automation machines
• Proficient in writing PLC application programs (Omron, Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.)
• Familiar with PC-based programming (Visual Basic, C++, etc.) for machine controls
• Hands-on experience with schematics and electrical layouts, and able to guide technicians
• Occasional travel required
