Job Description:

• To strategise, organise, govern, and manage a project within a predetermined timeframe that is committed to customer.
• To successfully complete New Product Introduction (NPI) projects by meeting all the specifications and requirements and advancing them towards mass production, including anticipating and mitigating potential risks that may negatively impact the projects.
• To engage and work with customers on product specifications, requirements, costs, schedules, and quality.
• To generate and provide quotations for tools and moulded parts, upon receipt of Request for Quotation (RFQ).
• To collaborate internally with tool designer and engineering team on design for manufacturing (DFM) and proactively manage program documentations, technical and engineering changes.
• To update the status of on-going programs to the management.
• To consistently pursue for new customers.
• To establish and nurture a robust and affirmative rapport with our key customers to secure new and additional projects and pursue new customers to strengthen sales pipeline.

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in mechanical engineering/precision engineering.
• Knowledge with practical experience in the field of plastic injection and injection tool fabrication, or mechanical product design is needed.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs.
• Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Strong leadership to lead, guide and inspire the project team to produce quality work and stay committed to all deliverables.
• Business oriented, meticulous, and cost sensitive.
• Ability to analyse, solve problems and decision making.
• Strong organisational skills with a can-do attitude to always improve and initiate new ways of working to achieve results.

What you will be here for

• R&D design of medical products
• Developing and evaluating new materials, structures (including frame profiles) and product designs
• Drive quality improvement in the mechanical aspect
• Build-up and conduct mechanical simulations and modelling
• Plan, coordinate and execute product enhancements
• Manage all stages of the product lifecycle, including conceptual design, prototyping, testing,validation, and transition to manufacturing
• Oversee the design, analysis, and development of complex mechanical systems

What you will need

• Phd / Msc / Degree in Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering
• Min 15 years of experience in R&D mechanical design - medical devices / instrumentation / consumer electronics background with 7 years in a leadership role
• Competed at least 2 full new product lifecycle
• Expertise in Finite Element Modelling and Analysis
• Experience in modeling/simulation software is a must (SolidWorks, ANSYS).
• Knowledge of statistical data analysis methods and DOE
• Familiar with Product Reliability Test Design / Failure Analysis / Documentation will be a plus

Job Title: Mechanical Designer (ID4648)
Location: Bukit Batok
Working Hours: Mon-Fri 8.15am - 5.30pm

Roles and responsibilities:

• To do conceptual and detailed machine design with regard to mechanical aspects;
• To prepare solid models, layouts, views and bills of materials for assigned design machine assemblies and sub-assemblies.
• To prepare final design configurations, layouts, solid models and production/engineering data;
• To assist in preparation of machine documentation, specifications, manual.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or relevant in Mechanical Engineering;
• Will consider fresh-graduate.
