• Take mentorship from the Reinsurance Architecture Community of Practice regarding the principles set forth around coding principles and other architectural practices to be applied to the Reinsurance business' suite of applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure timely delivery of projects and adherence to project timelines.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Maintain code quality, automation and implement best practices.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

• 10+ years of IT application development and implementation experience
• 7+ years of C# development experience
• Other languages a plus (C#, Python, .Net)
• 5+ years of application design and software architecture
• 2+ years of Azure Cloud experience. Efficient knowledge on Azure and its services.
• 5+ years of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) experience
• 5+ years' experience with Microsoft SQL Server databases
• Experience architecting Azure Cloud solutions and/or application migration to Azure.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools such as Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing
• Proficiency in database design and management, including experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization of applications.
• Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security measures in software development
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will support the platform layer, which centralizes and abstracts infrastructure issues away from application teams. This provides powerful and safe tools to develop and deploy GenAI use cases in a secure and consistent manner.
Work with developers and business users to ensure platform have good DX and able to meet the AI needs of the users.

Skill set good to have:

• Experience in AI/ML platform engineering will be an added advantage.
• Hands on experience in Agile software development methodologies and practices, such as Test-Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Scrum and Kanban.
• Good team player who is keen to learn, independent, and with strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passionate in understanding business requirements and use technology to transform or improve current state.
• Familiar with and possess strong interest to learn about current and emerging technology landscapes.

Mandatory Requirements: Key Skills and Experience:

• Possess a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in software development.
• Hands-on technical skill with good competencies in 2 or more of the following:
• Frontend - ReactJS (preferred) or equivalent
• Backend - Python (FastAPI - preferred) or/and NodeJS (NextJS - good to have)
• SDK development - Python (Poetry)
• Infrastructure/Platform - Terraform, AWS cloud, K8s or equivalent container technologies
• Hands on experience in system/software design and automated software testing (with Github Actions or equivalent CICD experience).
