Job Responsibilities

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with AM sites leaders and other functional stakeholders to establish AMVS priorities to meet committed timelines. Interface with AM sites leadership and other key leadership to establish and communicate program priorities, status, and needs.
• Facilitate overall decision-making process thorough knowledge of the AM business, product portfolio, manufacturing processes and sites’ strategic direction. Assess risks, remove roadblocks, escalate issues, and propose solutions to senior leadership.
• Ensure that resource allocation planning is performed and that constraints within Manufacturing, NetOps, OPEX, Supply Chain and Global Engineering and other functions are resolved as required for overall program success.
• Ensure the use of Program Management Best Practices to manage overall scope, time, and budget. Drive accountability and execute programs to achieve committed milestones & deliverables.
• Continuous improvement initiatives to standardize, streamline, and accelerate programs.
• Maintain clear communication paths with all functional stakeholders and be the voice and guardian of the overall key programs within the AMVS for effective integration and execution.
• Lead and manage within the complexity of the AMVS across 5 sites aligned to common goals.
• Conforms with and abides by all country specific regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive accountability with demonstrated results in leading manufacturing programs or sites.
• Track record of performance preferably in Pharma or Rubber manufacturing environment, extremely results and outcome focused within strict timelines.
• Demonstrated leadership ability at high level and tangible results demonstrated.
• Respected leadership that will galvanize teams to pursue transformation and high performance.
• Proven production/manufacturing operations leadership experience.

About the role

• Leading your fellow developers in contributing to complex features and improvements on the Dyson Link app, ensuring they are tested, robust and scalable

• Our iOS app is written in Swift and uses the MVVM pattern with Coordinators. We have multiple modules to separate functionality and reuse common code, managed along with our external dependencies primarily using Cocoapods.
• Since almost everything that happens within our app is asynchronous, we use RxSwift extensively to capture, combine and manage event streams, also to bind the UI layer.
• We are also starting to incorporate the latest technologies such as SwiftUI, Combine and Swift Package Manager.
• We write our unit tests with XCTest and RxTest, and we use XCUITest for automated UI testing.

About the role

• Develop real-time embedded software for production consumer products on a range of silicon platforms, mainly ARM based.
• Lead product/system requirement document review and analysis, feasibility study and proof of concept.
• Lead software architecture and high-level design, as well as improvement of robust solutions and resolutions of technical challenges across projects/matrix structure.
• Responsible for low-level design, implementation/coding and software testing (unit/component/product level).

About you

• Bachelor Degree in (Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunication/Computer Engineering) or equivalent.
• Minimally 3 years of software development experience in requirement analysis, architecture, design, coding and testing of embedded system.
• Experience with C / C++, UML, Python.
• Experience in embedded real-time software engineering, e.g. FreeRTOS.

The following experience would be good to have:

• Bluetooth Low Energy protocols, including BLE 5.0.
• Ability to identify issues arising from the interoperability of wireless protocols such as BLE, Bluetooth classic and TWS.
• Experience of how to tune BLE / Bluetooth classic product behaviour to achieve product interoperability and high data throughput across a range of Dyson products.
• Exposure to one or more of the following: WiFi (802.11), NFC, ZigBee, 802.15.4, 3GPP, MQTT, Apple homekit.
• Knowledge of software security, LabVIEW, Linux-based embedded system.
