Job Description:
• Daily monitoring and troubleshooting of our distributed server landscape will be part of the task together with project work.
• Verifying the compliance and integrity of our systems is key to keep a high level of quality.
• Performance optimization and capacity monitoring is as essential as the resolution of end user problems through SAP’s internal ticketing system.
• Changes done to our landscape also include updating or creating documentation for level 3 Niche Area service.
1. Windows Server administration
• Installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows Servers
Pre-requisites:
• Experience Level: E3
• Min 5 – 7 years of hands-on experience with Windows Server administration
o Last 2 major versions for all hard- and software
o Expert knowledge of Windows troubleshooting
o Expert knowledge of installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Microsoft cluster Services
o Experience knowledge of MS Hyper-V
2. VMware vSphere administration
• Installing, configuring, and maintaining vSphere ESXi
Pre-requisites:
• Experience Level: E3
• Min 5 – 7 years of hands-on experience with VMware vSphere administration
• Expert knowledge
o vSphere ESXi, Virtual Center and VMware update manager
o virtual machine technology
o vSphere troubleshooting (ESXi & VMs)
• Expert knowledge in troubleshooting on ESX servers using Command line / PowerCLI
• Expert knowledge of storage protocols
3. Server Hardware (HPE preferred)
• Remote management
• Firmware updates and patches
• Guiding hardware upgrades / FRU
• Singapore Data Center support
Pre-requisites:
• Experience Level: E3
• 5 years of hands-on experience with server hardware. (HPE preferred)
4. NetApp Storage administration
• Remote management
• Firmware updates and patches
• Troubleshooting (WAFL/NFS/iSCSI/SMB/CIFs)
Pre-requisites:
o Experience Level: E3
o 5 years hands on experience of NetApp storage administration would be beneficial
o Expert knowledge
o PowerShell (ability to read, modify and create scripts)
o ITIL processes and ticket handling
o IT security concepts
5. Azure Cloud Administration
• Configure, deploy and manage Azure Cloud assets
Pre-requisites:
o Min 1-2 years of hands-on experience in Azure Compute Instance, Storage Accounts, Networking and Managed Databases
▪ Practical knowledge with managing via Azure CLI, Azure Powershell and Portal
▪ Basic security contextual knowledge in Azure NSGs, RBAC and API keys
6. Monitoring IT Support Tickets / emails / hotline
7. Good network knowledge
• Good knowledge of TCP/IP (v4) protocol
• Troubleshooting network connectivity
• Good understanding of router & switch configurations (VLAN/Trunk/ACL)
8. Desired knowledge
• Hands on experience with MS SCOM operations
• Basic Project Management experience
• Vendor support ticket creation and follow-up for Netapp, Microsoft, VMware and HPE
