A Trainer is the team player in the Community Development Team. This role conducts courses, workshops, talks and trainings for internal and external parties. The scope also involves ad-hoc training administration support as and when required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conducts courses, workshops, talks and trainings for internal and external parties
• Collaborates closely with internal stakeholders
• Provide guidance to corporate trainers i.e. those who underwent train-the-trainer by SOS
• Promotes workshops and training to corporates
• Conceptualises and implements administrative framework to track training figures and indicators
• Evaluates impact of training programmes
• Refines learning tools, mode of delivery of training and techniques
• Coordinates digitalisation of training on e-learning platforms
• Conceptualises roadmap to pivot to WSG curriculum and funding
• Conceptualises and implement learning management system
• Curates and maintains online bite-sized learning content in partnership with internal stakeholders
• Front communications with Tote Board e.g. reporting of KPIs and progress updates, service enhancements etc

Educational Qualification:

• Degree holder with relevant Counsellor/Social Worker experience
• Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment certified or
• Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance certified

Relevant Experience:

• Possess at least 2 years of relevant training experience
• Has experience working in non-profit or social service organizations
• Ability to collaborate with diverse group of stakeholders
• Planning and organizing
• Good communication, presentation, and classroom management skills

Background:

We are a training provider and needed to establish a team of qualified trainers and lecturers for project starting June 2024. Our projects are in both Singapore and Asia. Key projects are related to Data Science, Big Data and Data Analytics.

Requirements:

· A Masters’ degree in data science or analytics is preferred. Related degree will also be considered.

· Minimum 5 years of working experience in data-drive environment

· Some working experience in government agencies managing data science projects

· Able to handle working adults of different profile and nationalities

· 3 years of teaching experience in tertiary or adult learning institution is ideal

· ACTA or ACLP certification preferred

· A friendly personality

· Willing to learn

· Able to work independently in projects

· A team player who is an effective communicator

· Some knowledge of programming language as R and Python

Job Scope:

· Deliver workshop, training and seminar in a clear manner, both online and in-person

· Conduct training for clients in Singapore and Asia

· In-person standing teaching in front of 30 to 50 participants

· Use different teaching methodologies such as open-ended question, group discussion, peer learning etc

· Adopt innovative facilitation skills such as group presentation, case studies discussion, quiz etc

· Handle and manage multimedia platform such as zoom, teams, LMS, Mentimeter etc for lesson delivery

· Good in time management to pace the lesson according to schedule

· Report to Training Manager for all logistics matters such as attendance taking, presentation rehearsal, inventory check etc

· Attend briefing and lesson development prior to course commencement

· Able to travel within a short notice (2 weeks)
