Their duties include performing administrative tasks, documenting procedures, and hiring and training staff. They are also required to monitor staff productivity and develop initiatives toward enhanced job performance.

Main responsibilities include:

• Assist Supervisor in Planning, monitor and control various operations
• Anticipate customers need, respond promptly, acknowledge all customers and resolve complaints, ensuring complete satisfaction
• Constant effective communication with the Supervisor and director regarding any customer or staff issues
• Encourage and motivate staff with a positive attitude
• Operate POS (point of sale) and maintain security of system
• Follow the correct cash up and management of bills and house accounts, incl cash and credit card transactions
• Prepare reports for Director and Management on daily basis
• Manage Suppliers, Delivery and Admin by ensuring the smooth running of the floor and that duties are carried out in a professional and timeous manner

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• 3-7 years’ experience in a End to End Management of Retail and Wholesale Food Processing
• Must have 3-5 years End to End Food processing work experience in FAASOS PRODUCTS
• A strong grasp of operational systems (Micros POS and Opera) and computer literacy in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power point, Outlook
• Food & Beverage product knowledge
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
• Ability to stay calm under pressure
• A willingness and passion to serve
• Presentable and well groomed
• Ability to work long hours, day and night, including weekends and holidays
• Strong ability to communicate and to read and write in Malay and Tamil are essential. Additional languages are a plus

Job Description:

• Assist in the recruitment process, from job posting and candidate sourcing to conducting interviews and coordinating with hiring managers.
• Handle applications, renewals, and cancellations of work passes in the compliance with regulatory requirements.

Position Overview

The ideal candidate is to ensure nominated vessels are maintained & operated in line with Statutory Instruments, Company Policy & Safety Management System, Industry Best Practice & Vessel Owners Requirements.

• Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

1. Act as the single point of accountability, monitoring all onboard activities and providing Technical & Operational Guidance and Support to the Master & crew of nominated vessels and to the team as required.
2. Ensure Safety & Environmental Compliance with respect to Statutory Regulations, Company Policy & Safety Management System, Industry Best Practice, and owner’s requirements are given the highest priority by both the shore and vessels staff.
3. Monitor and support all operations onboard nominated vessels closely, provide assurance that they are undertaken in full Compliance with Statutory Regulations, Company Policy & Safety Management System, Industry Best Practice, and owner’s requirements, whilst meeting efficiency & economic expectations.
4. Ensure compliance with Wallem’s SMS, flag and class’s rules and regulations, state requirements, TMSA and other vetting agencies’ conformance.
5. Support Operations superintendent and work together for common objective to operate vessels as required under the SMS and within the purview of Shipman Agreement.
6. Responsible for all budgetary expenditure on nominated vessels, provide timely reports & analysis to Fleet Manager(s) and Owner(s) as required.
7. Responsible for operating vessels within KPIs set out by Wallem’s SMS while maintaining priority on safety and pollution prevention. The Assistant Fleet Manager works with other departments of Wallem for meeting commercial expectations and maintaining vessels sea-worthy.
8. Act as Client/Owners point of contact ensuring the highest level of customer Service & Satisfaction are maintained whilst also protecting the Wallem brand and our employees from risk.
9. Provide Direction, Coaching, Guidance, Mentoring and Evaluation of senior sea staff to ensure that all operations are carried out safely & successfully whilst also enabling senior sea staff with their individual career progression & development.
10. Monitor and maintain a thorough knowledge of current Assistant Fleet Manager Work Instructions which may be subject to review and revision from time to time, whilst completing all Tasks detailed in the Assistant Fleet Manager Work Instructions for nominated vessels.
11. Monitor and optimize vessels and seafarers’ performance. Collaborates with other stakeholders to ensure that vessels and seafarers have adequate resources to perform.
12. Review, write and provide feedback on development area of seafarers, work-performance during specific contract, while setting clear goals and targets.
13. Act as part of the Shore base Emergency Response team as required.
14. Complete any additional tasks as reasonably requested by the Fleet Manager.
15. Provide backup support to the Fleet Manager and oversee fleet in his absence.

Qualifications & Experience

• Engineer Officer Qualification, with First Class Chief Engineers Motor license from an IMO whitelist country; OR
• Degree in Marine Engineering/Naval Architecture/Mechanical Engineering or other related.
• Minimum of 2 years’ sailing experience as Chief Engineer) onboard; OR
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience as Technical Superintendent or Assistant Fleet Manager within the Maritime Industry ashore.

· Bake artisan and decorative breads/ cakes.

· Produces a wide range of breads, pastries and other baked items.

· Review and construct menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings.

· Keep up to date with the current promotions and new items in the menu.

· Supervise the baking team in preparing baked items and adopting new baking techniques to add variety to the menu.

· Guide and train employees on the use of the baking equipment and coordinate provision of appropriate training where needed.

· Maximize the productivity of the kitchen staff.

· Ensure that procedures for suppliers, equipment, work areas are in compliance to the established standards.

· Ensure correctness of food quantities, keeping food wastage to minimum.

· Ensure production targets of assigned section are met and food products meet required production standards.

· Report and escalate repairs or preventive maintenance to equipment suppliers and vendors.

· Monitor the set-up of work stations for cleanliness and safety compliance with local regulations and company requirements.

· Maintain good knowledge on standard food preparation by immediate superior/ manual provided by the company.

· Maintain the kitchen cleanliness (housekeeping).

· Ensure that food hygiene and safety standards are maintained and comply.

· To adhere to kitchen SOPs.

· Report on time, in proper uniform and grooming standard.

· Maintain good personal hygiene as well as high work and safety standards in the workplace.

· Assist in dishwashing duties as and when required.
