OVERVIEW

The Assistant Producer is an essential team member who supports the senior producers in creating and producing CNBC live TV programs and show segments. You will also partner with producers and the Operations team on overall show content and production.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in building and creating world-class business news content for CNBC’s core programming
• Research stories and/or guests, and uncover new angles on stories
• Write scripts, select relevant and appropriate video, soundbites, elements for the shows
• Conceive segment and story ideas, interview questions, and elements for TV programs with producers to develop these ideas into engaging content
• Communicate clearly and effectively in the news gallery
• Maintaining a flexible and calm attitude while working in a fast-paced, intense, breaking news environment
• Select graphics, including subject straps and graphics that require little or no editing, choose the relevant durations for data boards and initiate good use of graphic elements in the shows
• Learn to format line-ups with iNews and Avid systems, as well as work efficiently with programs for graphics, subject straps, and data boards

Customer Support:

• Provide technical support to end-users, assisting with troubleshooting, resolving issues, and offering guidance on equipment usage and maintenance.

Equipment Maintenance:

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on cleanroom equipment to minimize downtime and ensure reliability.

Documentation:

Collaboration:

Field Work:

Job Requirements:

• Education: Diploma/ITE in Electronics.
• Experience: 1 to 3 years of related work experience is advantageous.
• Additional Qualifications: A Singapore Class 3 Driving License is a plus.
