As an Infrastructure Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the CTO Office, Global Technology Applied Research(GTAR), you utilize strong knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Apply your technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies across multiple applications of moderate scope.
Job responsibilities
• To design, implement and support infrastructure for GTAR projects in the field of quantum communications and cryptography, across installation, upgrade and configuration of both hardware and software
• Applies strong technical acumen and problem solving to be able to efficiently install, test and verify the performance of the infrastructure, ensuring requirements were successfully met and propose potential accelerators to meet timelines ahead of schedule
• Develops considerations for upstream/downstream systems or technical implications, contributing towards overall project roadmap scoping, responsible for making significant decisions based on multiple technologies
• Able to review and take ownership of documentation on technical solution and processes in alignment with internal stakeholders and procedures
• Working with external vendors as point of contact for support during in field troubleshooting, tracking and escalating issues when necessary
• Able to draft and present results of project outcome internally and externally when assigned

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Info-communications Engineering or related disciplines
• Minimum 3 years of experience required in technical role in Networking or Telecommunications
• Proficient knowledge of hardware, networking terminology, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, and performance assessments
• Proven ability to install networking systems from scratch; and compute systems from bare-metal, comfortable working with systems not limited to but including CLI
• Demonstrate ability to work independently in a fast paced, ambiguous environment and taking initiative under minimal supervision
• High proficiency in networking systems such as WAN, Routing, Layer 3 and Layer 2 and basic technical knowledge of additional technical domains
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
• Proven attention to detail, strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems without guidance is a strong advantage
• Able to travel for work for extended period of time on ad-hoc notice
• Excellent organizational, time management, written and visual presentation skills
