Food Engineering and Project Management

• Define, propose, review and implement the investment plan approved by top management which involves engineering & project management and conducting feasibility studies in a cost-effective way for the manufacturing plant.
• Oversee the management of VIE program; looking into the objectives of cost improvement , productivity & process improvements, and submission of investment reports.
• Provide technical support to various projects in the manufacturing plant.
• Support sister companies' industrial projects if needed.

Operation and Production

• Review projects and propose solutions to optimize the actual production lines, by improving efficiency and productivity.

• Propose and co-ordinate training programs required for process or project improvements.

R&D

Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar position.
• Master’s degree in food science and food engineering, with competency in project management.
• Experience in project management, preferably in an industrial setting.
• Experience in food science R&D, from lab scale to industrial scaling.
• Strong understanding of food international and local regulations.
• Exceptional communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in French is an advantage, enhancing communication with French-speaking stakeholders.

The key role and responsibilities include:

• Assist the Technology Business Development (TB) Operations Manager in developing, maintaining, and overseeing the policies and procedures governing industry engagements in A*SRL/SRIS

Requirements:

What you will be working on

In this role, you will:

• Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for a short interview over Zoom or Face-to-Face
• Signing of Non-Compete contract will be required upon successful selection

• Assist Principal Project Manager (PRPM)/ Senior Project Manager (SPM)/ Project Manager (PM) in day-to-day management of the contract
• Advise the PRPM/SPM/PM on site quality and safety issues.
• Determine any non-conformances on works
• Liaise with Contractor to rectify any non-conformances and document them properly
• Ensure that decisions on site issues are conveyed to the Contractor within a reasonable time frame.
• Ensure that works are carried out according to specifications, drawings and programme without compromising on quality and safety
• Provide feedback to the PRPM/SPM/PM on quality and safety matters and suggest quality improvement measures for implementation on site
• Supervise installation of instrumentation and monitoring of instrumentation
• Lead a team of supervisors to ensure full time supervision of works on site by supervisor /client

Job Requirement

• Minimum Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in project/construction environment
• Proficient in relevant software programmes for planning and project work
• Pro-active team player with good analytical and communication skills
• Required to have at least 2 years of viaduct and/or flyover construction experience
