• Experience configuring fibre-based tape and disk environments consisting of tape libraries and tape devices, EMC Data Domains, Veritas Net Backup Appliances Good understanding of networking protocols
• Experience with support, troubleshooting and problem resolution for tape backup and SAN environments.
• Experience with Tape Storage Capacity Planning.
• Experience with backup and DR recovery technologies and techniques encompassing architecture, design implementation and support functions.
• Demonstrated ability to provide technical recommendations on backup architecture.

• Responsible for all technical support of new product introduction, including product improvement, component production, and the entire process of product assembly and packaging
• Produce electrical designs that comply with specifications, quality, and safety standards.

• Produce and revise electrical documentation and drawings. Perform systematic troubleshooting and improvement on new/existing Electrical design.

• Conduct troubleshooting and drive closure on equipment electrical related matters.

• Receive initial product training, compile, and update product assembly instructions, be responsible for the complete transfer of product technical details from the customer to the company, and continuously improve, and innovate processes and technologies.
• Contact the customer's designated personnel on product-related technical issues.
• Responsible for training the assembly team and implementing improvements within the production team.
• Establish assembly work instructions based on customer’s specifications.
• Monitor, identify, develop, and implement improvements in process control systems and equipment.
• Create Bill of Material & routing in ERP for assembly.
• Troubleshoot and optimize assembly processes and follow up with production.
• Improve process robustness, yield, product quality and process time.
• Define and follow up on special tooling requirements.
• Manage customer documentation (drawings, specification, etc.)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

•Possess knowledge in digital circuit design, firmware implementation and hydraulics analog circuit design.

•Understanding of manufacturing processes PCB’s, PCBA’s, LED’s, extrusions, machining/turning, sheet metal, precisions stamping and ALU/SS materials and mechanical assembly processes.

•Knowledge of different types of motor applications, such as DC servo motors, 3 phase linear motors, stepper motors, voice coil motors etc.

•Expertise in one or more of the following areas will be added advantage: Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA), Digital Signal Processor (DSP), Micro controller and Power Supply.

•Knowledge of stringent grounding requirements used in industrial control systems.

•Electrical drafting knowledge using 2D CAD system and Proficiency in reading and updating technical drawings.

•Able to perform root cause analysis and resolve problems on a conceptual and advanced troubleshooting level.

Qualifications

•Possess at least a Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering/equivalent.

•A minimum of 2 years’ working experience in high precision assembly equipment electrical design experience

General Purpose/Scope

• Support in process improvements, customer returns, cycle time reduction and scrap reduction initiatives.

Essential Job Duties

• Work closely with Process/Manufacturing Engineer to monitor and improve the process capability.
• Ensure the scrap, production yield and cycle time reduction targets are met.
• Review process issues, NCR and conduct failure analysis.
• Updating of Manufacturing work instructions/routers.
• Participate in cross-functional teams on various improvement projects.

• Preparation of the failure analysis report on customer return parts.

• Hands-on experience in assembly of prototype module.
