Job Title:Business Development Manager – Commercial Diving & ROV Services

Job Overview:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) for Commercial Diving & ROV Services will be responsible for driving growth within the company's diving and remotely operated vehicle (ROV) service offerings. The role will focus on identifying new business opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships, and managing client relationships in industries such as oil and gas, marine, construction, and offshore energy. The BDM will leverage their knowledge of both commercial diving and ROV technology to generate leads, negotiate contracts, and ensure service delivery meets client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development:
1. Market Expansion:
· Identify and target new business opportunities within the commercial diving and ROV sectors.
· Develop strategies to enter new markets and industries, leveraging ROV capabilities alongside traditional diving services.
· Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers in industries such as offshore oil and gas, renewable energy, marine construction, and utilities.
2. Lead Generation and Sales:
· Generate qualified leads and build a strong pipeline of potential clients for diving and ROV services.
· Manage the entire sales cycle from initial contact through contract negotiation and closing.
· Collaborate with technical teams to develop customized solutions for clients, ensuring all proposals meet operational requirements.
3. Client Relationship Management:
· Maintain relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and securing repeat business.
· Provide strategic support and expert advice to clients on commercial diving and ROV services, helping to solve complex operational challenges.
· Act as the main point of contact for clients, addressing concerns and ensuring smooth communication.
4. Tender and Proposal Development:
· Lead the development of tender responses, proposals, and presentations for prospective clients.
· Coordinate with internal teams to ensure all technical, operational, and commercial aspects of proposals align with client expectations and industry standards.
Strategic Planning & Reporting:
- Sales Strategy:
· Develop and implement a business development strategy focused on increasing revenue and market share for commercial diving and ROV services.
· Monitor industry trends and competitor activities, adjusting strategies as needed to stay competitive.
- Reporting and Forecasting:
· Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management.
· Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for business development activities and adjust strategies as required to meet targets.
Collaboration with Operations:
- Project Coordination:
· Work closely with the operations and technical teams to ensure that client projects are delivered successfully and in line with agreed specifications.
· Participate in post-project reviews to ensure client satisfaction and identify potential areas for improvement in service delivery.
- Compliance and Safety:
· Ensure that all business development activities comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and the company's policies.
· Keep abreast of regulatory changes in commercial diving and ROV technology to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
Market Intelligence:
- Industry Trends:
· Keep up to date with technological advancements in the commercial diving and ROV sectors.
· Analyze market trends, competitors, and customer needs to identify new growth opportunities and service enhancements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Marine Sciences, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, with at least 3 years in the commercial diving and/or ROV sectors.
- Proven track record of generating new business, closing deals, and meeting sales targets.
- Strong understanding of both commercial diving and ROV technologies and services.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to develop and execute sales strategies.
- Strong knowledge of offshore operations, including safety and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with software tools for CRM, proposals, and tender management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in offshore oil and gas, renewable energy, or marine sectors.
- Knowledge of IMCA (International Marine Contractors Association) standards and ROV certifications.
