• Carry out crucial examination and implementation of testing concepts and data, utilize an assortment of skill, methods, procedures and materials in advanced testing analysis and be adept at drawing on internal knowledge as well as industry and/or academic resources in reaching testing conclusions
• Ensure that tests assigned to the technicians are performed in a timely manner in accordance with validated test protocols and procedures; give training to the technicians as required, upkeep test reports and related records and ensure equipment and testing meets the requirement of ISO/IEC 17025
• Maintain and upkeep test facilities and laboratory equipment, assist with hazard identification and risk assessment exercises within their areas of responsibility and monitor day-to-day health and safety in their section of responsibility and ensure all hazards, near misses and accidents are reported

Job Requirements:

• Working knowledge of laboratory safety
• Possess a Degree in Civil Engineering or Materials Engineering major or testing related field with a minimum of 2 years’ pertinent post degree engineering experience, or advanced academic / professional qualifications
• In-depth understanding of testing concepts and able to apply academic knowledge within the context of Element’s business
• A team player with advanced computer and communication skills

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of low voltage switchboard panels to meet industry standards and client requirements. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, testing procedures, and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive testing of low voltage switchboard panels, including insulation resistance tests, contact resistance tests, high voltage tests and function tests.
• Perform inspections and audits of electromechanical assemblies to ensure compliance with applicable standards and specifications.
• Document test results and prepare detailed reports for internal and client review.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
• Ensure all testing equipment is calibrated and maintained in good working condition.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes and procedures.
• Train production staff on quality control processes and provide guidance on quality-related matters.
• Stay updated with industry standards and advancements in testing methodologies.
• Ensure the quality of products meets the required standards and specifications.
• Support onsite testing, FAT, SAT and troubleshooting activities, if necessary.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in testing low voltage switchboard panels or similar electrical equipment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical testing procedures and standards (e.g., IEC 61439).
• Proficiency in using testing equipment and tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in electrical testing or quality control.

• Support Project team in the coordination of project activities.
• Plan, schedule and manage the project efficiently and to ensure time completion.
• Ensure optimal utilization or resources of the Company and to work in accordance to safety standard and within project budget.
• Assist in day to day requirement.
• Follow up on the project progress.
• Execute all directions from managements.
• To raise Material Requisition Form (MRF) based on costing sheet provided but not limited to save project cost as much as possible without limiting result or quality of Genset delivered
• To discuss or consult with customer on delivery, installation and project related matter
• To coordinate project related work.

• Monitor process analyzer performance data, apply statistical tools to assess analyzer performance
• Drive improvements in analyzer performance and quantify the improvements in a performance scorecard
• Provides day to day support to Process and Maintenance on analyzer
• Support to maintenance and operations for existing analyzer fleet
• Assist sites with lifecycle management
• Drive improvements in analyzer performance and quantify the improvements in a performance scorecard
• Lead/support incident investigations and root-cause failure analysis to identify and address the failure cause and provide appropriate recommendations on risk-based work selection
• Troubleshoot and resolve bad actors
• Remain abreast of industry standards developments (e.g., ASTM, ISA, ISO, IEC); and identify and support opportunities to improve site analyzer performance:
• Upholding corporation standards on analyzers and their safe use
