• Maintain, communicate and coordinate internal online ordering platform.
• Support and communicate closely with other departments, maintaining records of sales data and promotly assist customer enquiries.
• Own the customer relationship for designated customers/territories including price setting within defined limits.
• Prepare commercial quotations in response to new customer enquiries. Informing customers of pricing and otl contractual conditions within agreed guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with agreed procedures and take the decision when to escalate issues for approval plan and prioritise daily workload within guidelines.
• Regular direct contacts with customers requiring appropriate commercial sensitivity and communication style of the customer relationship.
• Broad knowledge of systems & processes (e.g. ERP, CRM). Identify opportunities for efficiency improvement administrative systems

Requirement:

• Minimum Diploma in any relevant.
• Technologically savvy – proven experience as administrator of online ordering platform/ system, able to navigate backend settings and troubleshoot order variance.
• Experience working in MNC organizations and managing multiple stakeholders.
• Contract role for 1 year, subject to renewable and convertible to permanent.

Marine Technical Purchasing Officer

Working days: Mon-Fri 9am to 6.30pm
Salary: $2800 - $4000
Location: Kim Seng Promenade (Nearest MRT: Great World)

Job Duties:

• Procurement, sourcing and purchase of vessels’ spare parts, supplies and services including preparation of relevant purchase orders and job orders to ensure proper supply for vessels.
• Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates in order for Superintendents to review and determine the best offer among potential suppliers.
• Verify suppliers’ invoices against quotations and keeping track of vessels’ total expenditure against approved budgets. Verifies item received with items ordered; liaise and resolve with suppliers for mismatch item
• Monitor vessels’ movements, liaising with suppliers, masters and agents to ensure that supplies are delivered on board timely.
• Responsible for accurate record keeping, follow-up and filing of all stores and spares purchased for vessels.
• Actively follow up on vessels’ defect reports, arrangement of third party service vendors and docking issues etc.
• Coordinate closely with Technical Superintendent and shipboard officers.
• Co-ordinate with vessels on various technical matters as instructed by the Superintendents.
• Maintain and update vessels’ technical certificates and arrangement of renewals whenever required.
• Any ad-hoc duties as assigned by Technical Superintendents and or Technical Manager.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma holders with 2-3 years of purchasing experience preferably in Shipping industry
• Familiar with vessel records and certificates is added advantage
