• Posses good understanding of external tools integration with hadoop (qlik, PowerBI, SAS and Informatica)

• Experience in LDAP, SSHD and KRB authentications

• Experience in performing POC for open-source applications and tools

• Experience in performance tuning of various hadoop services and support end users in tuning application codes

• Backup and restore of various service components of hadoop cluster

• Certification in Cloudera CDH/CDP

• Scripting knowledge in Bash, Python and Perl, to automate and avoid repetitive tasks.

• Good technical knowledge of RHEL/Oracle Linux, and Unix hardware, operating system and system services will be an added advantage

What you’ll be doing:

• Administration and support of servers and databases.
• Daily review of all batch jobs. The problem logs to be raised for batch job failures.
• Daily review of security, system and application event logs of servers.
• Perform annual OS/Web Server/SQL hardening.
• Perform system administration, change requests (program migration, deployment, configuration changes, etc) on servers.
• Update and compile operational reports on system capacity, database growth, change requests statistics, etc.
• Review and recommend security patches monthly for deployment of security updates on servers.
• Preventive maintenance and server housekeeping activities to keep the servers optimal.
• Performs technical refresh of QA environment to provide meaningful and representative data for UAT testing on servers.
• Documentation update on existing technical /operations guide.
• Troubleshooting of operational and interface related issues on servers.
• New technology exploration and conduct proof-of-concept.
• DR server recovery and server verification.
• Provide support for new or enhancement projects.
• Perform task as designated

What you’ll need:

• Diploma/Degree in Computer Engineering and or any relevant qualification
• At least 3 years of experience in administration of Windows server 2016/2019, Linux operating systems and MSSQL 2012/2016.
• Proficient in Windows Active Directory 2016/2019, DNS and familiar with WOG desktop environment.
• Apply concepts of IT Service Management(Incident, Change, Service, Release and Configuration).
• Understand concepts of IM8 and hardening of operating systems, web servers and databases.
• Experience in SharePoint administration is a plus.
• Proficient in software – CA Workload Automation and Application Programming Interface (API) (will be an added advantage)
