We are now seeking Field Service Engineer to perform on-site installation of systems and equipment and ongoing preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration after installation. On a worldwide basis, our engineers represent the company while servicing, troubleshooting and supervising repair of NOV equipment. They shall be proficient to make necessary repairs and minor corrections to systems as required and provide a high level of customer service for product maintenance and in-field repair.

Responsibilities:

• Perform inspection, installation, commissioning, repair, upgrading, troubleshooting and related service work on offshore drilling platforms, land rigs, Shipyard or in workshops.
• Liaise with rig’s management during offshore assignment.
• Communicate with respective Managers for briefing and debriefing of service-related activities.

Purpose of Position

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

§ Understand the full requirements of all manufacturing and improvement project. Follow up on the kick start, execution, monitoring and work closely with related personnel to resolve issues until the completion of the project.

§ Perform technical review on sales order and work closely with the sales department or customer to clarify all technical specifications and job requirements on the sales order.

§ Generate PCR and manufacturing process plan.

§ Generate engineering drawings and perform drafting.

§ Support Asst. Engineering Manager on the job costing.

§ Continuously explore for new manufacturing method or new external providers to support the production.

§ Work closely with the Production Supervisor to resolve any production issue.

§ Support the procurement department to deal with external providers on all technical issues.

§ Understand and be aware of the impact of each activity to the company, its environment and minimize any detrimental results.

§ Follow safe work practices and procedures.

§ Ensure company and QHSE policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.

§ Participate/ attend all functions, activities and meeting organized by the company.

§ Perform other assignment and duties as and when required.

Job Tasks

You will be involved primarily in fabrication, installation, and commissioning of telecommunication systems.

You may also be required to assist lead engineer / project manager in the daily execution of ongoing projects.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• A Degree in Telecommunication / Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
• Some relevant working experiences in the Oil and Gas industry would be advantageous.

• Hands-on experience on configuration, programming, troubleshooting, installation and commissioning of the above systems
