Job Description
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical submission to ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Conduct technical reviews of MEICA engineering designs and proposals, recommending improvements to optimize equipment constructability and efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate MEICA systems seamlessly into existing building design, ensuring compatibility and optimal operation.
- Assist in the MEICA construction plans, sequencing, resource allocation, and logistical considerations.
- Coordinate the installation of MEICA systems.
- Coordinate the MEICA construction process, ensuring adherence to technical specifications, industry standards, safety standards, and best practices.
- Supervise MEICA subcontractors, and vendors.
- Collaborate closely with the client stakeholders, addressing technical inquiries and ensuring MEICA systems align with their operational requirements.
- Ensure strict safety protocols and industry regulations on the construction site.
- Provide regular project updates, technical reports to the MEICA Installation Manager
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- 10 years of experience in the planning and construction of waste to energy plants or major process industry / industrial / infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record in large scale projects, managing internal/ external stakeholders – HSE, QA, Subcontractors, Suppliers, Client, Authorities.
- Proficiency in planning, scheduling, and resource management
- Ability to identify and address construction challenges and issues promptly.
- Excellent organisational and problemsolving skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance requirements related to construction logistics.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project needs and work in a fast-paced construction environment.
Skills & knowledge
- Knowledge of MEICA systems and technologies.
- Excellent coordination skills and communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work with a diverse team.
- Ability to multi-task and be flexible/ adapt to rapidly changing project requirements/timelines
- Meticulous and analytical with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Able to work under tight deadlines.
- Highly motivated and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Will be required to work full time on project site in Tuas South.
