Credit Structuring develops and markets trade ideas and executing trades for real money and institutional accounts across AeJ.

The role requires cooperating closely with sales, trading and other structuring teams globally on developing financing, derivative solutions and asset side credit transactions.

Product expertise required includes (inter-alia) a deep understanding of:

I. structuring SPV transactions for the purposes of

• a. risk transformation [derivative overlays],
• b. market access products
• c. Islamic credit linked notes

II. mark-to-market [repo / TRS] and non-mark-to-market [NAV / loan on loan] financing solutions

The candidate is expected to also have experience in accounting and regulatory matters, including (inter-alia) consolidation / de-recognition analysis; true-sale matters; application of CRR, SACCR, B3.1 developments. We are looking for a proactive, independent person to help expand the platform with multi-year and up-to-date product expertise.

The role will also encompass significant exposure to trading, product development, legal aspects, internal approval frameworks, accounting and regulatory solutions as well as co-ordination with similar desks in EMEA, Japan and the US.

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:

Essential

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a leading bank in credit structuring / structured credit trading
• Significant exposure to legal aspects of credit derivatives (ISDA, GMRA, GMSLA. ISDA 2014 Credit Definitions, repackaging programmes).
• Highly energetic individual with an entrepreneurial and investigative mind-set and the ability to understand client needs, platform constraints and counterparty requirements.
• Keen attention to detail, especially with regards to legal documentation, adherence to regulatory rules as well as risk management rules.
• Proven ability to learn and understand new concepts
• Excellent prioritization and decision-making skills
• Knowledge of international accounting rules and solvency II regulatory framework

Desirable

• Knowledge of securitisation frameworks
• Islamic format notes / repo and repack notes
