Job Description

You will work as an integral part of the laboratory operations team, providing support to the laboratory manager in operations and related laboratory duties such as safety matters, procurement and core equipment training. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the laboratory, ensuring that all processes and procedures are followed accurately and efficiently
  Facilitate training and development of laboratory users
  Support the operations team on laboratory safety and documentation
  Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards to maintain a safe working environment
  Manage the laboratory procurement of equipment and supplies, including negotiating contracts with vendors and suppliers
  Implement and oversee maintenance schedules for laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity
  Maintain the microfabrication cleanroom in functional state
  Stay abreast of technological advancements to enhance operational effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field from a reputable university
• At least one year of working experience in a research/laboratory environment and familiarity with research operations
• Working experience in rapid prototyping, CAD or cleanroom microfabrication is preferred, but not necessary
• Understanding of safety regulations and compliance
• Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with team members and researchers
• Passionate in mastering research equipment and passing on knowledge to users

• Preliminary vessel concept work for tendering
• Prepare 2D & 3D drawings/models for construction

• Provide regular communications to the Design Manager
• Attend Design & Project meetings and conference calls

• Maintain an accurate project design register
• Provide weekly timesheets to Accounts and Design Manager

1. Responsible for co-ordination of all technical activities on assigned project and assist in ensuring successful completion and execution of the assigned projects.

2. Participate in client or contractor site meetings and inspections to ensure site installation is carried in accordance to the technical specification of the project.

3. Ensure effective communication and coordination between all disciplines and project participants in the projects, to resolve all site issue hindering the work progress.

4. Assist in planning, scheduling and coordination of works and ensure proper deliverables and full compliance to the authority standards.

5. Assist in all project management and coordination activities delegated by project manager; including day-to-day interaction with clients, preparation of project proposals and production coordination.

6. Assist in all project administration where required

Responsibilities

• Account for all the execution of site progress
• To prepare technical specifications
• Attends Job set-up meetings, and site meetings to assists in resolving technical/operation issues
• Schedule for work activities and inspection
• Preparing, scheduling, and coordinating with Consultants, Main Contractor, Architect, and Subcontractors to ensure efficient and timely delivery of site works
• Assist in the coordination of multi-disciplinary works within a project including handling project planning, budget and cost control, safety, and quality system implementation
• Assist with cost control and estimating activities
• On-site to supervise to carry out work
• Overall planning, implementation, execution, and completion of sections of the project to ensure successful completion of the project
• Coordinated with multiple sub-constructors in preparing master plans, design briefs, and obtaining all necessary permits
• Planning and forecasting of budgets and timelines to assure that the project is accurately completed to schedule
• Report and monitor the progress of project to the Project Manager
• Assisting the Project Manager on ad-hoc tasks assigned.

Requirement

• NTC or Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering
• Familiar with Electrical/ACMV/Fire Protection/ Plumbing & Sanitary in Singapore
• Min 3 years’ experience in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering related works in office fit-out and construction industry
• The candidate will assist and support the Project Manager in handling and monitoring the progress of projects.
• PR or Singaporean preferable.
• 5.5 days work week.
