The department is responsible for development and maintenance of Capital Market IT applications (in-house and package) used worldwide, covering Front Office (Murex, Apex, Orchestrade…), Back Office (Summit, Calypso…), Market data referential (Asset Control..), Market Risk (in-house application on big data technologies).

The Repo and Secured Financing (RSF) IT division, works across the full value chain to sustain business activity and enable its acceleration..

This role aims to take the lead of one of our Calypso back office IT team in Singapore, in project mode as well as in maintenance mode, to support the “build and run the bank” function. It requires a deep understanding of the nature of business operations, timing of activities & data flowing through internal and external systems. The build and support team continuously works with business users, infrastructure engineers and system managers.

“Run the bank” and “Build the bank” are the first missions of our IT department. It involves many front line IT professionals who understand the nature of business operations, timing of activities & data flowing through internal and external systems.They are continuously working with business users, infrastructure engineer and system managers.

Main responsibilities

As a hands-on Delivery Manager and Run Specialist Lead, you will be part of an international team focused on running and supporting the bank’s FX and Money market Platform developed around Calypso, a software package from Nasdaq, and in house’s solutions.

Build & change management

• Analyse enhancement requests for the repo business and new products.
• Propose solutions in collaboration with Architects.
• Specifications, workload estimates, planning, test scenarios, release documentation.
• Coordinate run and build the bank.
• Monthly releases, following the team’s milestones for analysis, coding and testing.
• Support the release roadmap in production.

Release management

• Define and implement in coordination with the release schedule of the Calypso applications
• Supervise and coordinate the release activities with the various stakeholders (I.e. Build team, Application Support…)
• Contribute in the continuous improvement of the release processes, tools and automation

Application monitoring responsibilities

• Define and implement in coordination with build team the needed application monitoring
• Supervise and monitor daily and monthly chains and handle user request by working closely with project, infrastructure and production teams
• Support overnight batches which take place during the Singapore Morning and early afternoon time to ensure that problems are swiftly analyzed and resolved to minimize down-time.
• Process and issue daily, weekly and monthly reporting on data quality of risk chain in which the activity is usually more intense on monthly run.

Incidents and Requests management (business users and other IT teams)

• Provide level 1, 2 and 3 application support to the business users (E.g. trader, risk manager, market risk monitoring operator, back-office and middle-office analyst, market data administrator,…)
• Analyze and manage incidents/problems/requests coming

Problem management and continuous improvement

• Prepare and maintain knowledge base for each of the application in the scope of the team in coordination with the build team and the ops team
• Collaborate with build team to assess the priority of the problem and follow-up the resolution, even contributing to the definition of long term solution.
• Provide non-functional requirement to the build team to implement monitoring as code whenever available.

The delivery manager should have a pro-active mindset in security, incident preventive measures, productivity and global improvement of the quality of service. Candidate should have a strong appetite in the capital market functional business.

Qualifications and Profile

• Experience on Calypso versions v14 to v17.
• In depth knowledge of Static Data, Workflows, ScheduledTask, Confirmations, Settlements, Messages / Swift messages, Positions, Accounting, Corporate action, Filters, Reporting Framwork, Reconciliation features.
• Understanding of financial assets (Fixed Income, Money market...) and trade lifecycle with a deeper knowledge of Bonds, Repos and Securities.
• Experience with regulatory reporting HRF, NORIA, MMSR.
• Experience in interfacing Calypso with external systems.
• Hands-on experience in implementation projects.
• AGILE track record.

Purpose:

The Lead Originator, Asia (APAC) plays a pivotal role in enabling the consistent growth of Commercial Supply and Trading through tenders participation, delivering term short and long positions, and gaining access to trading assets for the global crude, clean products and renewables trading desks (crude oil, gasoline, distillates, renewables and heavy oils). Based in Singapore, the primary focus of the Lead Originator, Asia (APAC) is leading the expansion in Asia Pacific markets. The position is a senior supervisory position that requires strong commercial skills and leadership. The incumbent is expected to collaborate with the Global Origination team on cross-commodity opportunities that have a broad global impact.

Key Accountabilities:

• Develop a 5-year plan for origination in Asia, in line with the Global Origination Strategic Plan, to include financial targets, regional development plans and the associated staffing strategy
• Work collaboratively with global trading commodity leads, local trading desk heads and global market analysis resources to prioritize origination opportunities in Asia based on current and projected gaps for Phillips 66
• Supervise and assist with staffing origination function in Asia
• Build, maintain and enhance a strong network of customer relationships in target markets
• Source, negotiate and close profitable deals for the global trading desks in line with prioritized opportunity lists, and ensure smooth transition of closed deals to Trading desks for execution
• Deliver deals to exceed net income targets defined in origination plans (P&L measurement to be done on trading desks but origination function will track value-add associated with their deals)
• Manage contract disputes if any arise during the term of the origination contracts
• Ensure all compliance requirements are met by the origination team, with zero policy breaches

Required Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree with a strong origination background and local commercial market experience gained over at least 15 years
• Regional / country knowledge with established relationships / network in Asia Pacific markets
• Technically competent in crude oil and refined products with the ability to initiate technical sales i.e. know features of commodity/product, customers’ systems, Phillips 66 systems etc in order to make connections and propose deals that add value
• Proven ability to negotiate and implement contracts effectively with examples of structured deals that have been closed personally
• Good understanding of trading/financial products from trading or trading management roles
• Experience dealing with legal compliance issues such as FCPA (Foreign Corrupt Practices Act), sanctions and anti-boycott issues
• Supervisory experience in a commercial role, preferably in structured negotiation and for more than one commodity
• Demonstrated strategic breadth with ability and desire to achieve significant growth targets
• Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and multi-language proficiencies
• Effective in both internal and external relationships management with the ability to work co-operatively with all trading desks
• Required to travel regularly, up to 50% of time
