Main purpose of the job
The Integration Assistant Staff– Sustainability plays a critical role in bridging the gap between global and regional organisations and connecting Global Procurement Office with Asahi Group Holdings with respect to the sustainablity agenda. Beyond that, the purpose of this job is to ensure sustainablity is embeded in procurement strategies, vision, and governance across the organisation, as well as foster unity across regions and promote the sharing of best practices and knowledge. Alongside adhering to established governance, policies, and processes, the role involves protecting the company's assets and reputation through effective internal control systems, procedures, and legal compliance. The role is responsible for driving sustainable procurement and procurement innovation strategies, as well as creating and implementing category strategies in aligmnet with the GPO Sustainablity team. The ultimate goal of this job role is to contribute to operational excellence in Procurement and drive continuous improvement of Procurement capabilities and practices in alignment with Asahi's overall strategy and external benchmarks.
This position reports to the Global Procurement Director SUPPLIER INNOVATION & SUSTAINABILITY/ dotted line to Liason Director.
Key qualification criteria
· A bachelor's degree in business, communications, or a related field.
· Able to communicate in English
· 3+ years of professional experience, whereof 2+ years in procurement/sustainability
· Experience from an above-market role
· Procurement platform/-s experience
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
· Knowledge of MS Office Suite
Accountabilities and deliverables
· Get support from Integration Lead and work on collaboration between the GPO team and regional procurement teams (focus on Japan) and Asahi Group Holding (Sustainability section) in according with implementing procurement purpose, vision, strategies, and governance with the primary focus on the Sustainability agenda regardless of language in a timely manner.
· Learn how to align of Global Category Strategies: Ensure that the global procurement strategy aligns with the specific procurement needs and regulations of each region (focus on Japan), taking into account factors such as local suppliers, market conditions, and supply chain dynamics.
· Get support from Integration Lead and promote one team spirit between all regions (focus on Japan) to enable the sharing of best practises and knowledge and the same with relation to Asahi Group Holding (Sustainability section)
· Learn Global Procurement People strategy and culture (incl. DEI, employee engagement, and well-being).
· Self-manage adherence to defined governance, policies, and processes.
