The Freight Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our freight invoice audit processes. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of freight billing practices and have competency in optimizing invoice audit processes. In this role, you are to maintain close collaboration with Logistics Service Providers (LSP) and DFS 4PL Control Towers to ensure freight invoices are submitted in full and on a timely manner.

Claim management would be the next area that Freight Supervisor need to focus on in ensuring all claim is being followed up closely and appreciate claim metrics is being measured.

The Freight Supervisor also have responsibilities for ensuring Inbound Delivery (IBD) are available promptly and accurately to avoid delays in goods receiving process. As part of BOSCH’s business expansion strategy, our Security Solutions Business Unit is seeking for a Pre-sales Purchasing Officer to join our team in Singapore office.

The Pre-Sales Purchasing Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the sales team by ensuring timely procurement of products and services needed for security solutions. This includes obtaining competitive quotes and negotiating contracts. The role involves collaboration with suppliers and internal teams to support project tenders, Addition & Alteration (A&A) works, and maintenance renewals for existing customers. You will also participate in vendor qualification, organize product training sessions, and attend key management review meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

Support Sales Team with Competitive Quotes for Project Tenders and A&A:

Assist the sales team in obtaining competitive quotes for project tender bids and Addition & Alteration (A&A) works within specified deadlines. Ensure the provision of the below:

• Quotations: from multiple suppliers
• Product Brochures: for client presentations
• Compliance Documentation: to meet regulatory and technical requirements
• Commercial Assessments: to ensure competitive pricing
• Attend management review meetings with all stakeholders to present procurement findings and finalize decisions.

Support Maintenance Renewals for Existing Customers:

• Assist the sales team by obtaining competitive quotes for maintenance contract renewals for existing customers. Ensure cost-effective solutions that meet client requirements.

Vendor Management and Qualification:

• Perform vendor qualification and ensure that suppliers meet company standards in terms of quality, pricing, and reliability. Maintain a roster of pre-qualified vendors to streamline procurement processes.

Product Training & Coordination:

• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to organize product training and introduction sessions for sales, technical, and support staff. Ensure team members are up to date on the latest product features and developments.

Procurement Planning & Execution:

• Collaborate with the sales and technical teams to forecast product requirements and ensure timely procurement of security systems and components (CCTV, access control, alarms, etc.)

Vendor Relations & Negotiation:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate favorable terms, and ensure competitive pricing for products and services.

Cost Analysis & Budgeting:

• Conduct cost analysis to support sales proposals and ensure profitability for the company while maintaining quality standards.

Documentation & Compliance:

• Ensure all procurement processes are compliant with company policies and industry regulations.

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, this role is responsible for the procurement supply continuity and the deployment of regional sourcing strategies for their assigned purchasing area. The Purchasing/Procurement Specialist is a member of the Procurement Team. This position will, along with other team members in the department, ensure the best sourcing for all products procured based on cost, quality, and delivery- overall value to the organization.

RESPONSIBILITES

• Effectively work with functional and business groups as a trusted advisor to determine desired product/service specifications and projected demand when making recommended action plans.
• Responsible for purchasing a wide range of medical and pharmaceutical supplies.
• Researching/sourcing products and processing requisitions/requests for quotations.
• Forecast inventory needs and maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Responsible for follow-up of all issued purchase orders to ensure appropriate delivery dates/times/locations.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3 yrs marine or pharma industry purchasing procurement preferred.
• Previous experience in SAP preferred
• Learn/work in multiple systems/tools such as SAP, Databases, Microsoft Office, MS Project, etc.

Inventory Management activities would cover some or all of the following:

● Replenishment Lead time & On-time replenishment of inventory to business

● Responsible for the total carrying cost of Inventory

● Physical inventory, stock accuracy & minimized stock variance

Procurement Process Management:

● Raise Purchase Orders (POs) based on business needs, ensuring timely procurement of goods and services. Collaborate closely with suppliers to guarantee on-time delivery of high-quality products.

● Oversee day-to-day receiving and verification of physical goods upon delivery to ensure items match orders in terms of quantity and quality.

● Generate and process ad-hoc supplier invoices in the procurement system.

● Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all procurement activities, including creation and amendments of Purchase Orders (POs), verification, and closing of invoices.

Supplier Relationship & Negotiation:

● Source, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers, focusing on optimizing cost-effectiveness, quality, and lead times.

Ad-Hoc Duties:
