Job Overview

The Purchasing & Receiving Executive is responsible for the sourcing of quotations and purchasing of perishable and non-perishable items for all user departments, and coordinates all administrative matters within the department and other departments on purchases. The individual ensures that all Purchase Requests are in proper order as per hotel policies and procedures, obtains competitive quotations and sources for new products for cost effectiveness, and monitors market trends and prices for all products.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate all administrative matters within the department and other departments on purchases
• Process the Daily Market List Purchase Requests (PRs)
• Calling of quotations / Perishable Tenders
• Handling/consolidating/analyzing/negotiating with all price quotes for perishable purchases
• Obtain products/goods at competitive prices without compromise the desired quality standard
• Check the incoming goods according to POs and invoices (quantity, quality, price, etc)
• Contact supplier if a mistake is identified
• Posting of Invoices into the system
• Keep abreast of the changing market conditions regulating price increase, new products
• Site visit to supplier factory/plants

Talent Profile

• Minimum Diploma Education
• Understanding of Purchasing principles and processes
• Experience with Purchasing systems (preferred)
• Analytical and have the ability to solve purchasing and inventory related problems
• Strong data entry skills
• Proactive, highly motivated and flexible
• Highly organized
• Experienced with MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Able to work and travel on both Crane Warehouse (51 Tuas view Link & 8 Jurong Pier)

• To work with any designated area of the operation as directed by site managers/supervisors

• Tasks can include but are not limited to;

o Take delivery of inventory

o Check for damaged or missing items quarantining any items that fail the quality check for escalation and resolution

o Store goods appropriately as directed by either the WMS or direct supervisors

o Pick and pack orders for dispatch

o Move Inventory around either by hand, using lifting equipment or a fork lift truck

o Load goods for dispatch

o Maintain the WMS system accurately for all inventory receipts, movements and dispatch

o Carry out Inventory / cycle counts as directed utilizing the WMS and paper directions

o Ensure that all lifting and maneuvering of product is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures

o Operate in a safe manner complying with all health, safety and environmental requirements to ensure own and safety of others

o Handle all inventory in an appropriate manner

o Work to 5S standards in order to ensure operational efficiency

• Make recommendations to aid efficiency and add value

• Work in a safe manner and comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policies

• Ability to relocate either temporarily or permanently to other facilities within Singapore to support operations

• Able to commit Overtime if needed

Any other reasonable task as assigned by superiors in order to meet operational requirements

• Minimum 1 year related warehouse operations experience
• Must have forklift license (Below 5 Tons)

The Senior Associate, Category Procurement is a single contributor role, supporting the VP/AVP of Procurement in ensuring efficient and effective execution of procurement category, towards achieving cost improvement and innovation targets, while maintaining compliance to policy, procedures, control and third party arrangement requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead procurement for the assigned category(ies), through business partnering with the stakeholders to define annual procurement plan and develop category strategies, for execution
• Ensure successful execution of category strategies, and bring about best price and value to the organization, through generation of short and long term cost-savings roadmaps, and innovation opportunities,
• Lead the sourcing process, inclusive of defining sourcing approach, identify suitable potential vendors, develop and execute RFX, evaluate proposals (against business requirements, and total costs of ownership), and provide supplier recommendation,
• Continual sensing and keeping abreast of latest category trends and price/cost analysis, vis-a-vis stakeholders plans and expectations, in order to reap optimal benefits and manage projects / operational risks,
• Lead vendor performance review and relationship management agenda for key assigned vendors, in compliance with third party risk management policy and procedures, and value optimization,
• Work with Procurement Operations team to support for efficient execution of P2P processes, effective implementation of policy, procedures and controls, administration of vendor management agenda and procurement and supplier risk and compliance agenda.

Requirements

• Degree in Business Administration, Purchasing, Supply Management and other related fields
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant sourcing experience, preferably with knowledge in third party risk management, in the context of Financial Services Institution (FSI)
• Strong negotiation, communication (written, verbal) and interpersonal skills to influence for positive outcomes
• Strong knowledge of procurement systems, policies, procedures, controls and best practices
• Demonstrated ability to engage and work with business stakeholders to drive procurement category excellence, and achieve performance objectives
• Strong organizational and problem solving skills, meticulous attention to details, and possess good verbal and written abilities
• Strong project/time management abilities, and able to prioritise work effectively to meet accelerated timelines

Main Responsibilities

• Understand the psychological impact of visual merchandising, and craft impressionable retail experiences for shoppers at every touchpoint
• Independently lead weekly layout change based on the sales result and monthly colour scheme
• Provide basic layout and visual standards On the Job Training(OJT) to brand pixies
• Plan special collection layouts and visuals in the store and report directly into HQVM for execution
• Suggest zoning plan based on the sales trends
• Upload weekly store photo with standard angles
• Create eye-catching visual presentations
• Monitor efficiency of advertised items on the mannequins and change accordingly
• Support HQVM for in-store VM installation and removal
• Liaise with HQVM for fixtures, signage or other related VM requests if any
• Ensure to promptly display signages and remove them after the stipulated end date
• Be the key supporting pillar to the store team on floor operations
• Work with the Store Manager to drive store sales performance
  

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the visual merchandising in the retail industry, preferably in fast fashion
• 44 hours per week
• 5 days rostered work week (including weekends and public holidays)
• Open to both opening and closing shifts
