Duties & Responsibilities

a. Assist QA/QC Manager in the managing the QA/QC department.

d. Initiate quality programs and report to QA/QC Manager for the current product quality level.

e. Develop Inspection Test Plan (ITP), inspection and testing procedures.

f. Supervise and guide the team of QC inspectors and administrative assistant.

g. Control the usage of ASME stamps and review ASME’s MDR forms.

h. Maintain and control the welding procedures (WPS) and welder performance qualification records.

i. Any Adhoc assignment given by QA/QC Manager.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Quality Control Technician. In this role, He/she will be responsible for documenting and creating comprehensive technical reports & WI (work instruction) related to overhauling of rotating equipment. The reports will serve as critical documentation for our client & the work instruction will be serve as critical reference for our service team. Secondary, he / she would perform acceptance testes for rotating equipment overhauled. Relevant testing training will be provided.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare & create inspection templates of rotating equipment for service team

2. Gather technical data, specifications, and maintenance records for reference.

3. Collaborate with engineers and technicians to understand the overhaul process.

4. Prepare detailed and accurate technical reports outlining the overhaul procedures, findings, and recommendations.

5. Include clear photographs, diagrams, and charts in reports to support documentation.

6. Ensure that reports adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and company guidelines.

7. Review and edit reports for clarity, accuracy, and completeness.

8. Communicate effectively with team members to gather necessary information and provide updates on report progress.

9. Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.

10. Any other jobs assigned.

Requirement:

1. NITEC / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering related field

2. Experiences in metrology is highly preferred.

3. Strong technical writing skills with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.

4. Proficiency in using software tools for documentation, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and engineering drawing software.

5. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality technical reports

6. Basic knowledge to interpreting internationally accepted units of measurement.

7. Basic observation skills to ensure that the measurement devices and equipment are being used effectively.

8. Knowledge of rotating equipment is a plus

9. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Collaborate with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project
• Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
• Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
• Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
• Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
• Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
• Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities
• Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed
• Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports

Job Description:

• Ensure the quality of all construction work performed on site are in accordance with the company's QAQC requirement.
• Visit project sites, arrange and conduct QAQC inspections on mainly Structural Works and Architectural Works.
• Assist project teams in the preparation of project specific CONQUAS/Quality Management assessment by BCA with specific contract requirements.
• Ensure workmanship, procedures and method statements are in accordance to specified standards.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure works are in compliance with method statements & proper sequence of work and in accordance to BCA’s good industry practice.
• Ensure that all project quality records and quality audit plans are maintained.

Job Requirement:

• Candidate must possess Bachelor Degree in relevant discipline
• Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement preferably I construction/ civil engineering industry.
• Candidates with experience in LTA projects would be preferred.
• Must be familiar with safety procedure within the site
• Preferably Senior Executive specialized in Engineering - Civil/Construction/Structural or equivalent.
• Have experiences in working in large scale projects.
• 6 Days work per week.

Requirements:

• Support the new project in the following:
• Analyse upstream contract terms and identify possible risks and opportunities related to the application of contract clauses.
• To compute quotations from specialists/sub-contractors, prepare competitive comparison for cost committee prior for negotiation and award contracts.
• To join the procurement team on complex contracts and negotiation in accordance with company policies and legal requirements
• Support negotiation of contract terms and assessment of contract proposals
• Draft, review and issue contracts and agreements (between customers and the company, with Sub-Contractors and Suppliers)

Commercial & Contracts:

• Prepare Extension of Time and prolongation costs claims with the aid of external consultants.
• Involve and advise requests for equitable adjustment, contract disputes and contract claim with client/consultants and subcontractors with the aid of external consultants.
• Consolidate the report to the management on defence against claims, disputes or conflicts and contractual non-compliance issues during monthly reporting.
