Job Description

Accounts Payable:

• Review payment vouchers, vendor invoices, and staff claims to ensure accuracy, proper documentation, and necessary approvals.
• Ensure timely closure and balance of monthly and year-end accounts.
• Review vendor aging reports and statements to ensure accuracy for payment preparation.
• Monitor AP bank transactions to verify all payments are accurately accounted for and posted.
• Respond to vendor inquiries regarding orders or payments.
• Assist in preparing financial reports related to accounts payable.
• Support audit processes related to accounts payable and general ledger.
• Process timely payments to suppliers.

General Ledger:

• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial transactions.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and the general ledger.
• Assist in managing petty cash.

Other Responsibilities:

• Assist in data collection and analysis as required by the Finance Manager
• Maintain organized records, correspondence, etc., ensuring accessibility.
• Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned by the Senior Accountant

The Successful Applicant

• Diploma in accounting/Professional qualification in accounting
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable, accounting experience
• Knowledge in using SAP S4/Hana or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system will be beneficial
• Proficient in MS office and Google suite
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Positive work attitude and proactive
• A team player, hands-on with good thought processes and strong analytical skills
