Main Job Tasks & Responsibilities:
Tender Development

• To register all tender invitations and seek approval from directors to accept invitation to tender
• Attend show round (if any)
• Assign QS to take off all quantities required and/or undertake to carry out the taking off process
• Collate and check that all necessary pricing require for the tender are in order and complete
• Discuss final tender pricing with superior 2 days before the closing date

• To handle, monitor and govern all contract administration and management

Completion

- Measurement of quantities, progress claims, quotations and final claims.

- General quantity surveying duties such as pre/post contract duties, taking off quantities, cost control, variations, finalization of cost and tender administrative duties.

- Able to understand tender requirements, prepare and submit tenders as per requirements with specific deadline

- Preparing and analyzing costing for tenders

- Sourcing of new vendors, compilation of quotation. Review of price, summarizing subcontractors, materials and Evaluation and certification of contractors’ claim.

- Quantity take-off and cost estimation sourcing of contractor and supplier

- Assist project team in dealing with contractual matters including extension for time or expenses claims, etc…

Requirements

• 3 years and above experience as QS in main-con companies
• Familiarity with relevant software and tools used in quantity surveying, such as cost estimating software and project management applications.
• Proven ability in contract negotiation, contract administration & variation orders
• Able to work independently, be meticulous, analytical with excellent problem-solving skills, proactive, a good team player & able to meet tight deadlines

Job Requirements:

• Attend to Ad-hoc assignment when required

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least relevant qualification such as Professional Certificate/NiTEC, Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Mechanical) or its equivalent.

JOB DESCRIPTION​
