Duties of Quantity Surveyor :

• Cost Evaluation: Conduct technical evaluations, prepare Bills of Quantity (BOQ), and perform cost analysis for projects.
• Supplier & Subcontractor Management: Obtain and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors according to project requirements.
• Drawing Review: Review architectural and electrical drawings; prepare and revise designs using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Electrical Load Calculation: Calculate maximum electrical demand, including lighting, power consumption, and energy requirements.
• Design & Drafting: Design and draft electrical service layouts such as lighting, power, cableways, and create related diagrams.
• As-Built Drawings: Prepare and update As-Built drawings for completed projects.
• Site Coordination: Coordinate site visits with subcontractors and the operations team.
• Quality Control: Ensure quality control of electrical installations according to design drawings on-site.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Relevant experience

Working Location: Islandwide [On ship]

Working Days: 5 Day A Week

Working hours : 0830 hrs to 1730 hrs [Prepared to work irregular hour due to ship schedule/Public Holiday]

Job Scope

To attend / carry out various types of survey on board ship and sites on cargo, cargo measuring equipment and marine related activities.

To perform marine survey onboard vessels and cargo inspection on sites in order to assess and report on their condition for insurance claim.

To verify the equipment onboard vessel to ensure compliance with various standards or specifications.

Job Requirement

Nitec/ITE related in marine or Diploma in Nautical, Maritime Studies, Marine Engineering or Marine related from a local polytechnic/private institution.

Experience onboard vessel will be an advantage.

Prepare to work at irregular hours including Public Holidays due to ship schedule.

Job Overview:

As a Quantity Surveyor specializing in Interior Design and Renovation, you will handle essential cost management, contract management, and tendering processes for various interior fitting-out projects. Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform quantity measurement for project progress claims, quotations, and final accounts.
• Handle pre/post-contract quantity surveying duties such as taking off quantities, cost control, and finalizing costs.
• Develop and submit tenders per requirements, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Prepare and analyze costings for tenders and project estimates.
• Source and compile quotations from subcontractors and suppliers, reviewing pricing and certifying contractor claims.
• Execute quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and sourcing of contractors and suppliers.
• Assist the project team with contractual matters, including time or expense claims when necessary.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Building Services, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent.
• 4-5 years of experience in interior design, renovation, or the building industry, with a focus on commercial/industrial/retail fitting-out projects.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; team player.
• Independent and self-motivated individual with a detail-oriented mindset.
